I have recently been smelling things that are not there and no one else can smell. Usually, it has been a very foul smell, and no, there is no one in the area that is producing a gaseous substance Embarassed

Last night I was awakened at 3am to an overwhelming smell of rotting apples. It was a very sickly sweet smell. This lasted for several seconds and then was followed by a faint flowery smell and then nothing.

Frankly, it is freaking me out. Anyone have a suggestion as to what this might be or how I should deal with it?

Are any of the same people around during these occasions? Are you in the same place (sounds like your house)? Did you have anybody you were close to recently die? Can you give a general list of the smells you've sensed?

This is at my house and it is me and my husband. There have been no recent deaths. We have lived in the house since February of this year, however, I didn't start noticing the smells until the last couple of months.

The first and most frequent smell was like feces.
An occasional floral smell.
And the one time rotten apple smell followed immediately by the floral smell and then nothing.

I make magickal candles and used my banishing candle in the bedroom so that I could sleep. It seemed to work for a couple of days, then the occasional smell seemed to return. I smudged the house when we moved in, but not since.

Any suggestions or insight are appreciated.

Do you know the history of your house meaning who or what was in it before you. Sometimes objects from the distance past can sometime leave a residual odors.

I only know the family that was last in the house. I did not get any strange feelings from them, other than being a bit anal retentive. I guess I could try to do some research on the house owners. It was built in the 1970's, so it isn't one of the really old ones. I can find out who owned it, but I am not sure how to find out much about them.

yea its kinda fun my nose isnt my best sence but once in a while ill smell somethin strong usially cat litter or grage sometimes--once or 2x barely rember it tho-- ill smell somethin thats not from here i think it was sharp and really reeked i was workin on my comp looked to door and smelled it only outhers in house are my mom--compleate opposites--her cat and my kitten and i know it wasnt any of them oh well its all fun

Hi I love your name and avatar! I've always been extra fond of the water elementals.

Back to the mysterious smells. I too have smelled the strangest of smells like what you've described. Here's a short list of them:

Varius Flowers
Roses
Pipe Tobacco
Cinnamon
Eucalyptus
Beautiful scents I've never smelled in 3D and can't describe
Combinations of the above
Feces
Sewer smells
Burning rubber and chemicals
Stagnant or foul water smell

What I've learned over the years is that particular entities and/or higher dimensional ETs will create certain scents like the nicer ones to let us know that They are here with us. I guess the same can be said of the unpleasant scents and entities! Oh joy Shocked

It sounds like you know how to protect yourself and home so I'd just suggest that the next time a nice scent manifests, ask "Who's here and what do you want?" Then pay close attention. Smile
