Hi, I'm new here and just thought to post this before I go to bed and get some outside thoughts.
When I was visiting my grandmother today, I saw a spiritual entity in my minds eye. This is not altogether unusual for me to sense something, but the appearance of this thing was unusual. The back story is that my deceased grandfather had asked me to do all that I can for her emotionally and spiritually. He's deceased and has contacted me on several occasions, I seem to be developing a little ability to be a psychic medium. She's been a little more depressed lately so I gave her the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle after my grandfather contacted me. This time I visited her she seemed a little more cheerful and normal, and even I was in a supremely positive mood. I really had to hold onto my brain to keep it from jumping out the top of my head when I "saw" the spirit thing behind her. The main things I got were a large red aura, some orange and white, with the entity being black. The figure of it was not really what I could make out, most of the time it was standing behind my grandma. What I did get was it's face looked sort of like a gas mask, hollow eyes, round mouth. My grandmother left and I stayed and babysat my mentally challenged uncle. When she came back I saw it again, a little more prevalent, her in a slightly better mood. I've had to fight off the thought that it's the angel of death, my grandma is very healthy for being 80 and I don't think she could act like she did with tAOD standing behind her. I really had a hard time telling if it was a negative or positive thing, but I definitely did not feel at ease with it being there and I even gave it a stare and a shake of my head in disapproval. I honestly don't know what to think. Thanks for any help you provide. |

| ...went to my psychic today and she read that it's like the spiritual equivalent of a cold germ... so now to go about sending it away. this should be interesting since my grandma won't agree with smudging which would make it very easy. Lavender spray, bells, any other suggestions? I'm supposed to call about angelic powers to escort it away so we'll see how that goes later. |

You could try dowsing or scrying to figure out what the thing wants, if anything. The red and orange aura colours certainly don't seem like it'd be a positively-influencing thing... The white is confusing, though. Is your grandmother not open to any sort of supernatural activities at all?

| I don't think she'd be open to the supernatural at all. Her Christian beliefs seem to have he thinking there are is only the real world and God's world. I don't even know and can see my self hitting a brick wall trying to bring this up. She'd have to rationalize and denounce me in her own mind lest her narrow view be shaken(mental illness runs in the family, and why I babysit my uncle). So, I am going to make an incense spray, with sandalwood, sage and lavendar, tell her I made it out of love(and show her the internet printout that those scents should help her insomnia) for her and to think of me and everyone that loves her when she smells it. I have to be very subliminal about this because I run the risk of her conscious logical mind shutting off to me and that might make it worse. I now know that she is only really happy when people like me or my family are there to block it out of her with our aura's, so I have to convince her that we are always there in spirit so that it can be continually blocked out of her. My aura is orange with some blue and alternating other colors, so that and the white(very little white) could have been my aura and my grandmothers, repelling it, and why she seemed to be happy around me because I was in such a good mood the thing could not have a hold on her at that moment. |

The spray idea sounds like a good one. It really is a pity that most of my kind are so closed-minded... >.< It will get better through the upcoming years, I hope.

Yea really... unfortunately she and her church community are unconscious enough to allow her to be the sunday school teacher( ). It probably doesn't have much hold on her at church though so it's probably not so dangerous. Anyways, for a group that is supposedly spiritual, they seem to be all ego and empty ritual. This is an interesting video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJNz4eYt-aA that discusses demonic activity and seems to be very close to my new found viewpoint. |

That is a very fascinating video. You should really re-post that in the Video section of the forum.

The Black can only be evil. Its not uncommon for evil to be around those of Faith. They are simply a pain in the neck.
If you Grandmother has been baptised and recieved the sacements of the church which I'm sure she has. Then thats as close as the demon can get to her. And it would be like having a good angel on one shoulder and a bad on the other?
But heres the thing, a demonic enity will show "exactly" what it looks like to "you". Pay close attention, because they are dangerous and without a doubt very strong to humans. You don't seem to be affraid of it at all. Which I don't understand and is unusual. I never met anyone not affraid of Evil. Seeing something psychicly doesn't shield you from fear of eminient danger.
What you feel is mundane in the church and empty is also probly her lifeline of Faith. And when you say she doesn't believe in the Supernatural? She does because she believes in God?
Also you can manifest what you described through your own mind. So you need to do some homework and observing to see whats really going on.
Your Grandmother is trully faithfull. If anything she just needs to know that Evil is around her if it is? Because you certainly wouldn't want to scare her for no reason She will be fine with her Faith. Serious. She cannot be possessed. Only tempted. |

I don't think she's been baptised in a very long time, and I don't really know anything about what her church does for sacraments. When I see it she seems happy, when I don't see it, she seems grumpy and irritable. "as close as it can get to her" doesn't seem to be what it's like. more like, inside her mind telling her everything sucks. I've been blasting her with love whenever I'm around. I think our conversations about healing and literally being part of God and not a separate person are having some affect in bolstering her vibration so that is good. I mean she wouldn't be open to the supernatural because her faith is an on-paper thing. "The Bible says blah blah blah, does that make sense to you," she'll say.
"I don't know," I say(even though I get it most of the time), "Can you explain it?"
"Well that's just what it says," she'll say, or be completely stumped.
The topic of demons is really far from the part of the Bible she relates to and is able to quote randomly. I don't even know how that conversation would go, but maybe I'll try it sometime in the future.
Our last real conversation lately, which became an argument, started with me talking about Eastern type health stuff, about accupressure channels and meridians. Out of no where she flipped a switch, got a downward look on her face, and started spewing quotes from the Bible. I stuck to my version of God, not really even God, just universal love and one-ness with all existence. She was all Bible verses without explanation or positive emotion. I got the distinct feeling I was arguing with the entity. I think the Bible says somewhere that the devil speaks in Bible verses out of context or something like that, which I thought of the next day, and gave me chills when I thought of it. Finally at the end of the conversation I told her I wouldn't argue with her about the Bible until she learned Hebrew and could tell me what it really meant.
I spoke poorly of her church out of frustration. If she did not go to church and simply was happier from whatever activity, bingo or friends or whatever, she might be better off. But she is unhappy(getting happier every time she sees me!) and goes to church. I want her to be happy, and her dependence on church seemingly isn't doing that. If the church helped more to raise her vibration into more positive territory, as it usually should, I would be excited for that.
"Pay close attention, because they are dangerous and without a doubt very strong to humans." Only we have weak vibrations are they truly able to affect us. "Serious. She cannot be possessed. Only tempted." While being tempted and not fighting back at all, I believe one can be temporarily possessed. Simply being a Christian and baptised and what not doesn't stop one from being weak and vulnerable at times for such temporary possession. She is obviously not all the way possessed. I think a better word for it would be "haunted".
On the subject of fear. If I am afraid, then the entity has won, it has a grip on me. Any negative feelings on my part is exactly what it wants. I am not afraid because I have a high enough vibration to where it cannot affect me in any way. If I lowered my vibration by having the feeling of fear, that's when I'd truly be open to danger.
No, seeing it with my third eye does not shield me from danger. It's love and positivity that shields me. What am I supposed to be afraid of? It making me depressed and crotchity?
No sir, the only thing I fear is fear itself. Please don't tell anyone to be afraid of anything. Nothing good can come of it.
Thank you so much for your input.
Much Love.

Your a gifted individual. Its very difficult to understand how you and your grandmother interact though. What does she think of your "gift"? Does she believe "you" do indeed have faith?
I say that, to say this, the way of helping would vary due to that reality. If in her heart she trully believes you do have faith. Then she would without a doubt be more open to listening to what you say and suggest. On the other hand. If she thinks you don't have faith or are lost in this aspect. Then helping her to help herself on the unconcious level would be the path to take.
And yes I caught your quote from FDR. Very famous indeed. What Is your Grandmothers actual Faith specifically? Is she Catholic or a Christian? In this aspect their would be a difference in how she can help herself.
The Bible can be very difficult to really understand because its translation in English makes it so. There are many out her today like "Pastor Melissa Scott" who have this particular calling. They correctly translate whats said into the proper English meaning. For example "she" speaks 20 languages fluently.
I also understand the fustration. Those of past generations grew up very differently. They come from that school of "Blind Faith". Just do, don't question would be their moto.
She's fortunate to have you by here side. She will realize this in time if she doesn't already.
Anything I can do to help, don't be afraid to ask. Peace my Friend. |

Thanks, I am gifted and blessed. I would never tell her about seeing things like that, it just wouldn't compute and would make her think I'm schizo like my uncle. She does not believe I have faith. I think her church is non-denominational Christian, not really sure. I actually have only seen a mere shadow of the negative entity I saw before, and do not feel it's presence at all when she's not there. I actually had a great meditation there yesterday when she was at Bible study and I was baby-sitting my uncle. Yes there is no way I could directly address this issue to her unless I went to church all the time, but even then I doubt it would register. I will perhaps be able to talk about these things like speaking with my deceased grandfather in an anecdotal way far into the future. That way there is no way there can be doubt in my mental faculties. It'll just be an entertaining little story, not some big bad threat.
I forgot that was FDR that said that, thank you for reminding me and thanks again for your input.
Love and Light,
