I am at my wit's end. I have a back defect I (and almost everyone in my family has the same one). I have had pain for 40 years, but only sometimes is really bad. I started having pain in my left hip and down the back of my leg about a year ago. I had less invasion nerve decompression surgery 6 weeks ago. The pain is the very same since. Reclining is the only relief I get. I take pain meds only when I need to go out. I don't like to take them often, so I stay home a lot. The worse pain is sneezing, coughing, etc. I cannot do yoga any more because I can't bend or stretch. The doctor has me on neurontin and tells me to be patient. Is this going away and when? Because of my back defect, am I going to continue to have problems? I am very frustrated and thank you for any help you can give me.

hello, your post caught my eye because several months ago i dealt with a LOT of joint and lower back pain at the ripe young age of 26 and it seriously robbed me of my life. i was unable to hold the steering wheel of my vehicle tightly enough due to hand pain, or sit or lay down in any position without serious discomfort. i would get throbbing pains in my elbows, shoulders, knees and hands. i happened to seek the help of a hypnotherapist for emotional troubles i was having in my life at the time. it turned out that the physical pains were manifestations of the emotional pains and fears i was bottling inside. my hypnotherapist showed me a book she owns that provides subconsious/emotional explanations for any and all physical afflictions. we went through my pains one by one and were both shocked at how accurately this book pinpointed the subconcious/emotional origin of each pain. we worked together to deal with each fear or emotional conflict and over time my pain vansihed! as of today i am completely pain free!

i am telling you this because i believe that the mind and body are one. the mind controls how the body feels. to provide a more serious example, before my hypnotherapist was a hypnotherapist, she was afflicted with parkinson's disease. after researching the field of hypnosis and mind/body interconnections, she cured herself of parkinson's disease merely by changing how she thinks. this is a very summarized snapshot of how she cured herself, but it is a true story. my hypnotherapist's name is linda williamson; she is based in chicago illinois. if you wish to contact her, or are interested in learning more about how your thoughts affect your body please let me know and i can probably put you in touch with her somehow.

i understand that your back pain is a hereditary condition, but allow me to suggest that your family may all be dealing with the same emotional distress or negative pattern of thinking that manifests itself in the body through back pain. (its the nature vs nuture arguement, i suppose.) my intention was in no way to trivialize what you are going through. i can understand how seriously pain can affect quality of life, and it is nothing to be taken lightly. i wrote this post with helpful intentions, and i hope you got something out of it even if it wasnt the response you were expecting to recieve.

Thank you for your post. I have read all the same books that you probably have. I have been to an hypnotist, who was unable to hypnotise me. I have never been able to meditate, because I sit up gasping and crying. I am in therapy hoping to get to the bottom of this. I have seen a psychic and am going to see one next week. And I am still in pain. I have been able to work around it for years, but it has caught up with me lately.

i am sorry to hear you are in pain, i have asked the cards your question,

is this going away if so when and will there be any problems

i can see you are communicating with everyone right now about the best way forwards and that is your strong point, so keep the talking going as i feel it will help you during the illness and challenges presented, i can see you have made the decisions that have put you here and are emotional over why, you have the lovers and 2 pentacles, it shows you made the right choices but they have not given you the results you would have liked, leaving you emotionally in the balance, this is a card that represents feeling "un" grounded so i would recommend working on your base chakra, have beautiful things from the earth around you, rocks, plants, water and the colour red is good for you.... anyway i see you are having to take prescription drugs to keep your balance emotionally and mentally. In your reading you are being held back by a base chakra that is out of balanc and this can have emotional effects on the body, i see you being held back by page of pentacles which becomes the queen, so i feel that you get much stronger emotionally and feel more grounded mentally as it is here the work is to be done, be very careful you have good people and family around you to care for you as i feel you need support right now, i feel that you have made sacrifices and this is where you now need to find the peace calm and control to deal with acceptance of your condition as once you are grounded and full of acceptance, your symptoms will subside, i feel that you do have issues from the past that cause emotional instability - address them one by one and definintely work if you can on past life regression and soul retreival with your psychic friends, you have about 7 months of challenges in your inner conflict mind area so you have to resolve them, - i have seen this before exactly as you have and once the work was done it took about 3 months and there was no back pain at all - i know this condition personally as my family have the same, work work work, acceptance, dont fight it as it will just go on, work hard to get to the emotional root and you will release the karma x i hope this helps you and good luck with your journey x
