So, I'm fairly new to Chakra exercises, but have been experimenting them and studying them for quite a while now. Currently, the only exercises I have down are grounding yourself to the Earth's core and the exercise where you imagine energy flowing through your body, and one-by-one you imagine balls of energy building up through each of your chakras, over and over.

When I ground myself, I feel A LOT of energy building up, even when I just first drop that ball from my first chakra down to the Earth's core, I feel a lot of tingling and burning sensations in my first chakra, which builds up to the rest of my chest. Is this a start? Whether I'm doing it 100% correctly or not, the feeling of grounding yourself is amazing.

I'm going off of a cheap book I bought at Borders called, "Basic Psychic Development", and while the name sounds like it'd be a pretty lame book, it actually has a lot of informative stuff in it.

The next step in this book (After learning how to ground yourself) is bringing your awareness into the center of your head. This is something I'm having trouble fully understanding, it claims your awareness is located where your third eye would be, and you bring that up to the ceiling and back down. I'm just having issues getting it to properly work, but I'm sure with time I'll get it down.

My main goal of these exercises is to create Ki Energy Balls and to do Clairvoyance. Of course, I'd also like to be able to do Remote Viewing, Telepathy, and Telekinesis too, but those sound like they'd take a lot of experience to get down well.

So, am I taking the right approach to learning Ki Energy and Clairvoyance, and not getting too ahead of myself?

Hopefully this made sense, I can tell it's kind of just random ramblings from me, but I just wanted to explain my current status of it all.

Hi xHybr1dx,

Have you been working at all with breathing exercises just prior to visualizing the energy traveling through each of you Chakras? If not you might find it helpful to spend a few minutes prior to doing two breathing exercises...

Bare with me as I try to describe them.

One is called "Ocean breath":

Have you ever fogged up a mirror? It's that same breath motion - only lighter and with your mouth relatively closed.

The second is called "Breath of Fire":

Breath of fire feels much like hyperventilation is some ways. The breathing is very fast, in and out rapidly through your nose. This helps to break up some of the blockage you might have prior to your meditation. (It takes a bit to get used to but it really works.)

I hope this helps a little.

your better than me at meditation apparently but I can't believe you aren't at the third eye. It's not exactly simple and don't expect an eye too pop out of your forehead, but the way I did it was a lonnnnggg 6 hour meditation and I felt....different when I opened my eyes. The third eye to me is true focus of ones aura. It takes real focus of ones mind body and spirit...just loosen up and don't think about it, yet think about it. the materialistic bonds you have to the earth are broken and you feel a new love for everything and everyone. forgive everyone and let go of your lower self.

im looking to open up my chakras, mainly the root chakra. Iv started a bit of exercise. Done a bit of reading, im going to try concentrating on the location of each chakra and visualize a swirling ball of the light associated with that chakra.

Should i start from the root up or from the crown down? Or does it not matter?

You should start with the root chakra, then move up. Working with the crown or third eye chakra without a well-developed root has been said to lead to spaciness or potentially psychosis.

Ki isn't a form of spiritual energy. It's a technique in martial arts that involves using the diaphram in an attack to provide more kinetic energy.

Lots of people say lots of things, many without knowing.

Call it Ki, Qui, Prana, or whatever, there is a Life force which comprises your astral body. This energy is like a mirror to your physical body. Healing the astral body heals with it the physical, getting cut in the physical cuts the astral. It's all connected. The "main" points of this connection are the 7 chakras. There are up to 1000 chakras for humans, it's just that these are the biggest.

It's good to allow yourself to meditate, as your astral body is deeply effected by your emotions. This is why a stressed person will get a heart attack, or an angry person will get an ulcer. Frustration is contained in the neck, and anxiety in the liver.

Being happy makes you healthy, not just the other way around.

Smiling makes you happy, not just the other way around.

Smile. It'll make you healthy.

There are many names for it, but ki specifically is not. One takes the name by origin in which case it would follow in the line of chi, of the orient.
