I do not know why, but for some reason I was motivated to create a portal for my sister, as was under the belief that she had used one previously and the need had arised again. My sister was not present.
Combine Red, White, Black Light over an offering significant to the season, in this case candy canes removed from a christmas tree. The offering was indended to keep negative forces at bay.
Upon completion a bluish-purplish portal was created that immediately transported me.
The alternative world was perpetually dark, as if in early morning right before dawn. I was in my parent's house, but the floor plan was entirely different. There were constant knocks on the door, by various people, one was three men in all black that asked for beer, took the explanation that I had none and left. Then appeared a beer in my hand of a brand that I had never seen before. Another was a man that attempted to force his way in through the front door, upon locking it the standard turn style deadbolt became a key-style.
I ran upstairs and found a the key lying on the floor, as I returned to lock it however my mother came home, but I could not see her face. I attempted to turn on every light in the house to no avail, even the lights that were initially used in creation of the portal would not give off any light. I then realized that what I had thought to be my mother was a demon, which then attacked me. I resolved myself and bit the demon, which then disappeared. A vial of blood appearing in my pocket.
I then decided to leave the house and "make a run for it" to help me realize that I was in a dream. I concluded that if I were to not see any people that it mmust be. I began running and did not tire. My destination was a horseshoe-shaped lake that actually exists in my parents neighborhood, upon reaching it I saw a body lying in the center. I turned away and was immediately followed by a car which began attempting to hit me. I ran off-road into a different section of the subdivision.
Before reaching my new destination, I heard a horrible noise and followed it. It was being caused by an over-sized nut boincing up and down a long bolt protruding from the base of a street light. I easily removed it and pocketed it. I continnued running to what I knew to be my friend's house who turned out to be a guy that I had recently worked with. He explained to me that we needed to get the blood and the nut to the body. We then both began running in that direction, jumping over cars that would always come from ahead and attempt to hit us. We ran through one house close to our destination to avoid further cars, and a woman attempted to stop us from doing so.
My friend pushed her aside using what appeared to be smaller versions of the original portal, that seemed to keep her in place.
As we approached the body and I reached for the blood in my pocket I awoke because I had bitten my tongue.
I did a little research and found this site. What is your interpretation?

I offer an opinion with no expertise so please take what I suggest with a pinch of salt.

Having read your post twice, I am of the opinion that the details of the dream may not be that important, though the feeling of what the experience felt like is.

I wonder if you give your power away too easily by seeking to please other people too much instead of making time for yourself and doing what gives you pleasure, running around after others too much and not making time to relax, be still and be yourself?

It is also my feeling that perhaps you lack self confidence and self love and perhaps need to create more intention to focus on your hopes dreams and goals. That's why there was so much running because other people were making demands on you and you don't have enough time for yourself because you are constantly running around for others.

If this interpretation is nothing like close to the mark then please dis-regard... it's only my feeling and opinion and you don't have to accept it.
