When somebody hurts you, what do you usually do? If you're like most people, you get angry at the injustice of it. Then you most likely stay angry until that person apologizes.

What happens when that person doesn't apologize? You likely do some form of suppression. You feel forced to bury that emotion deep, just so that you can live your day to day life.

This can go on for a daily basis for years on end.

Is it any wonder that many people have cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, drug and alcohol addictions ... the list is seemingly endless Sad

There is a way around this - forgive.

We've all been taught things backwards. Forgiveness is not condoning another person's bad behaviour. Forgiving another person means to Free yourself. The other person doesn't even have to know!

If someone else wants forgiveness for their bad behaviour, they might think of apologizing. What they need to do is forgive themselves. What you need to do is forgive yourself.

I realize that this is a radical concept, yet it has proven itself to hold validity. It's up to you whether or not it's true for you.

Jesus said it best when He said "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". He was using His creative faculties (Father) to not be angry.

Of course, this is just my interpretation Smile

Have fun Very Happy
