Two good books that explain the mind's power over matter, the science of miracles and manifestation is "the holographic universe" and "Mysticism and the new physics" both written by Michael Talbot.

I may not be much help, but I have googled mahat-tatthva in the past and it is related to the teaching of krishna.
It is, like other things, a frequency you tune into through meditation.

Hey all,

The mahat-tattva is the total cosmic substance, and comes before objects are materialized. It's the essential principle of being. The mahat-tattva is the stage in creation when objects materialize themselves. It is the total material substance. All matter manifests through the mahat-tattva, and is the mahat-tattva. According to Hindu thought, innumerable universes are generated through the mahat-tattva.

Krishna describes a Siddhi power where you can materialize objects:
"Fixing his mind completely in Me within the element of false ego generated from the mode of goodness, the yogi obtains the power of mystic acquisition, by which he becomes the proprietor of the senses of all living entities. He obtains such perfection because his mind is absorbed in Me"

And to attain anything one desires:
"One who concentrates all mental activities in Me as the Supersoul of that phase of the mahat-tattva which manifests the chain of fruitive activities obtains from Me, whose appearance is beyond material perception, the most excellent mystic perfection called prakamya".
