The photograph has so many magickal powers and the image which can be an place or a person can have so much astral power indeed. Is anyone here in the same mindset, but recently there was a huge case in Great Britian about Jimmy Savile and in a particular forum which dealt with conspricarcy and rubbish, they used images of him as an avatar because they wanted lurkers to be aware of the hidden agenda. In my books, that is a dreadful thing because if someone is dead but you have their photograph a lot of astral energies do eminate and I do not want the energies of someone negative like Jimmy Savile in my home via a photograph of his. Photographs are powerful because in ancestor worship, an photo of a dead relative will show that they are with oneself in spirit.

Those photographs of Savile was something that put me right off the forum (I was getting the shakes and had to leave after half an hour because of this evil energy), but I was always under some impression that an avatar should be of someone you admire or a photo that pleases one, not an image of a person reviled.
Photographs are a powerful magickal tool indeed, and it can be a real aid in pathworking. I hope to get a good response to this.

This is a valuable point you make about the power of photos. I've also this knowledge for healing ie. doing healing on photos of myself as a child, family members and so on.
