When imagining myself with, let's say a square of golden light in the center of my head, should I be seeing myself as a mirror image, or should I be in the moment? Thank you. Confused

Whichever "feels" right to you. You won't need to question it, you'll just know in the same way that you know you like your favorite food.

Thanks! I've been trying to visualize for a while, but can't seem to get any results. I can remember when I was between the ages of 3 and 5 that I was able to "see things", such as when I can close my eyes and can see colors moving about in the black, maybe because I was that young and still "recent" from the other side. It was automatic. If only I could see that again. Sad

I've also suffered a mild headbump or two. I'm not sure if that could be part of the problem. I sure appreciate this site. I'm open to any advice or suggestions. Thank you! Smile

I've found that it's good to keep in mind that visualizing doesn't necessarily need to be a visual process.

Strictly speaking, visualization and imagining are the same things, but different. Visualizing refers to bringing to mind something you already know. Imagining means creating a scene in your mind thhat you've not experienced yet. Visualizing would be past, imagining is the future.

And neither of these needs to be visual. If you go over a conversation you had with someone, you're probably going to use a lot of auditory stuff, maybe a bit of kinsethetic too.

If you pretend you're having a conversation in the future, you're engaging your imagination, which is commonly known as visualizing.

Avoid worrying that you need to 'see' just because it's called 'visualizing'.
