Hi,
I am working with Reiki for last 6 years, but lately I am combining Reiki with Candles. That means that I am sending energy trough candles, for distance or situation healing. I feel, that in that case, energy is flowing all the time while candle is burning. I don't have to be around. Results seems to be good.
I wonder if anybody have similar expiriences to share with me and the others. I am especialy interested in the background (why is that working) and also if there is some possible danger for me or person who is receiving energy.

I know why the candles are working with the Reiki. It is because you have set the intent, energies, and perameters for which it will work. Not unlike magick. The candle is the client and you are projecting the energy to the candle like you would a surrogate, with the intention that the healing will continue to flow until the candle burns out.

I'm a Reiki Master and have used all kinds of surrogates.

What a wonderful idea! Bravo! With your permission, I'd like to try that as well.
It is your intent, of course, that continues the flow of energy.
There is never a worry of 'too much' with Reiki, nor a worry of where to send it - never a worry.

You can also carve the client's name onto the candle or create a sigil that represents the client and carve that in. You can also annoint the candle with oils to assist for specific healing. Scott Cunningham's "Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs" is a wonderful reference for this. This would all just focus you and strengthen your intent/will. Of course with the Reiki it always knows where to go, and where healing is needed! But you can also do this if you don't have Reiki. Please do try it, and I would love to hear how it works for you!

I like the idea of the name being on it too - it would certainly give you a way of quick focus.

For tree work all you need to do is fine a pine tree, lay on the ground with your head facing Nouth towards the tree, and the tree will remove all negativity from your aura and energy field. Pine trees, fir trees, blue spruce, and the like of that particular family of trees. You may want to contact the tree first for permission and what it is you are trying to do. The Earth uses those energies and it is actually beneficial to the Earth; who then uses that energy and transforms it and returns it to you.

I do something similar, although it has been limited mostly to myself. I try to rid myself of bad karma, and to destroy (or at least significantly weaken) my dark side. Something tells me my dark side is trying to regain its strength, so as soon as I have access to a taper, I'll hit it again before it can recover.

You just educated me on something new about that trees can heal you. I often stare at them and see their aura. I know they give us oxygen which is very important. I also know that plants can act funny if you ignore them. I am so sad about how they are tearing down so many trees here in my community. I live in an area of South Florida called, "Pembroke Pines". There are barely any left! They should just call it "Broke the Pines, Fl". There is a church down the street and they tore down this huge patch to make some sort of building and now they have a full blown carnival where they tore down some more trees. Oh, yes, with a ferris wheel and everything! I'm half tempted to go, now I know I sound a little crazy here, but I feel its wrong that they tore the trees down. I don't want to give my money to them. Plus those rides are rickity. So I'll skip it. Well thanks for the insight. I just feel helpless like I should replant one, but I live in an apartment. Enough rambling. Piscesgirl
