Hello, Zylah and group.

My name is Ray. I was born on February 25, 1964 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

My request is concerning my spiritual evolvement. I seem to be blocked from advancing in spiritual development. I wish to use hypnosis to deal with my specific issues, but have yet to be succesful in entering any form of trance. I encounter severe resistance whenever I attempt to relax.

My two-part question is: What is the source of the resistance? Whom do you see as being the best person to work with that will best aid me in achieving my goals using hypnosis?

Hi Ray,
I can feel two things as far as resistance is concerned. One is that you are holding on to a fear of something. While itâ€™s okay to be cautious, fear can often lead to unneeded anxiety. Do you know about protecting yourself before you go into a trance type of meditation? If you do, you might want to consider finding another method that you can be confident in. Wrapping yourself in white light may not be the strong enough route for you. You might need to find something else to make you feel more comfortable. I get lots of anxiety in my heart/chest area when I think of your situation. This seems like fear to me. After you find the right type of protection, you might then want to work on strengthening your charkas. Especially your heart and solar plexus. Because I can feel the anxiety in both the heart and solar plexus area, I think these might be points in your chakra centers that need strengthing.

The second thing that I feel is that you are trying too hard. If you think about it, itâ€™s just not going to happen. Let your body relax! Have you tried a guided meditation tape? Those have done wonders for me!

I think the best person to work with right now, honestly, is you. I know that may sound clichÃ©â€™ or whatever but you have to find the comfortability, confidence, and ability to let go before you can reach that deep deep trance that you want.

I feel a start-stop start-stop routine with you. Like as soon as you â€œgo underâ€ in trance you pop awake again. This is still fear to me. Lack of trust. Make sure youâ€™re comfortable. You have every ability to get there. Just practice patience, confidence, protection, and grounding.

While I was reading your reply, I felt the typical anxiety in my chest area when I am dealing with metaphysical issues, so I was amazed to read in your message "I get lots of anxiety in my heart/chest area when I think of your situation." This is often how I feel. I also feel that I possess a large repressed packet of anger residing in my solar plexus, so you picked that up as well.

You were again completely accurate when you stated that I start/stop when attempting hypnosis. This is exactly what happens! If I manage to relax enough to enter a mild trance, then I'll pop back to full consciousness within seconds. This continues until I become too frustrated to continue.

When my turn comes round again, I wonder if you could see if there are any negative or dark forces in my energy body, or affecting me from a distance.

I'm glad the reading was able to help you! I'm going to be getting back on track here with my readings so i'll get to your second question sooner rather than later, i hope.
