Speaking only for myself, to myself, I've discovered when I've look through ego's eyes there is never a problem with me. But then this is my ego making this determination. My ego think and perceive people, places, and things on an equal level, and enjoy the freedom of expression it has, that is, until I (ego) become bruised or offended by others shallowness or depth. Then I(ego) becomes insecure, afraid, hostile, and feels misunderstood in my Garden of Eden.
No one has to understand another person, I've discovered. And to be real about the matter, it is impossible to understand another because words are not precise, only relative to individual perception. But I (ego) not understanding this truth believe it have the right to snap off sarcastic responses, display a hurtful lack of understanding to another individual's positions, and an undisguised attitude of self-righteousness, or throw off to what others say. With this attitude of thinking, living, and dealings with others, my ego then is not willing to grant what it expect from others to others. So my ego then mounts and rides the horse of judgmental communication, not for lack of being misunderstand by others, but because it has misunderstood effective understanding communication is action of demonstration what one is, not what one thinks.
