Obviously not the most active forum these days, but I'm a firm believer that the most important requirement for any online community is a few loyal and dedicated members, which I see this community has. Thank you for allowing me to join. I'm just peaking around at the moment to see what you guys are about, and still trying to figure out what I'm about and what interests me.

My name is Jacob. I have only recently become interested in the esoteric after spending my life in a very tightly focused area of reality covered by widely accepted scientific personas and arguments. However, events have unfolded for me that speak of an unknown power, a connection between people, and certainty existing in myself and others about situations and outcomes that defies all logic. The likelyhood of such events being random would be nothing but laughable, especially from a purely scientific viewpoint.

I have only touched the surface of a few different areas. So far I am most interested in very specific (exact time and place of birth) Astrology, and I have had very interesting luck with the Tarrot so far. I believe the Tarrot will be a lifelong teacher for me. After many simple three card draws over a few weeks I performed my first sptread (the lovers spread), and my card was the only one that perfectly represented me - The Star. The Angel card above, perfectly discribes exactly what we had been talking about as out positive atribute of remaining friends, and as I picked up the snake, I knew for a fact it would be an inverted magician. That's 3 out of four cards that lined up perfectly. I'm still somewhat ignorant towards her representation as temperance however I must admit.

Likewise, the last spread I did, every single card lined up perfectly and matched my situation in an unmistakeable fashion and I knew it to be true. So far I'm very pleased with the Tarrot, however my mundane readings without an intense desire to know what lies before me have been simply average, or even vague - with my limited understanding of each card.

Also interested in Kabalah, Biblical Greek, ancient Greek, Word meanings and etymology, "the work" which seems to represent a fusion of the concious and unconcious (and / or the right and left hemispheres) into a more co-operative, purposeful, and powerful conciousness.
