Over the years I have encanted hooded beings. The first was at the foot of my bed, I woke to see a tall brown hooded being looking down on me and when I spoke it turned left and left, I heard the cloke and saw the movement. I recently meditated to meet my spirit guides, but saw a old pagan like room with many brown hooded beings standing in rows quietley. They did not speak of move and where not aggressive. I have panic attacks when I am near or in old barns or windmills and have a fear of dead old trees. I am a believer and practioner of wicca. I am very intiuative and my home is full of spirits. They leave me alone, but can be disruptive to my partner when she comes to visit.

I recently was told of a pagan organisation in my area, and when I look up the web site the first thing I saw on the home page was a pic of a old windmill and dead tree. IS SOMETHING SENDING ME A MESSAGE. COULD THE HOODED BEING BE A GOOD SPIRIT GUIDE.

Your theory about what is happening to you may have merit.

Have you ever looked into the possibility that you are perceiving these hooded beings in the hypnogogic state -- that's the realm between sleeping and wakefullness.

It's very common to see strrange beings, often shadowy and hooded, when you are half asleep and half awake. If you are not familiar with the hypnogici state, google it and read up on it.

I have thought and discussed the possiblity of the period of time during wake/sleeping, but I was sure. I have tried to reconcile it in my own head. But I know what I saw and heard. There have been too many things spiritually that have happened over the years to just leave and ignore now.

My g/f thinks that I am a spiritual sleeper, and that much activity takes place immediatley upon falling alseep. I usually fly in my sleep or astro travel around earth (cities, saves a fortune on air fare). Once I was on a slave ship, and when I hit land I was in a large market and a man tried to sell me a 10 kilo garlic. I am beginning to dred windy nights as my house is located accross a river from the city cemetary and I can see the site from my house. I believe the wind direction blows the spirts right through my house which is on top of a hill overlooking the river. It usually results in many people speaking to me and not leaving me alone in my sleep. xx

Hmmm sounds like more an elder than something you should be afraid of.

Most elders can be negoticated with easily enough, however fearing away from them won't make them go away. You could ask them to leave you if wish to bury your head in the sand, however its more likely that they could be an oppotunity for further growth.

If they disturb your partner I'd recommend talking to them in meditation and set up another venue for them to seek you out. However again if you do so, you must be in integrity, and see such meetings through.

Of course I guess I should mention I'm a Shaman, and probably have a slightly different perspective than your average Wiccan. But in my tradition elders are our guides to knowledge and are to be treated with as much respect as we can.

In either case may you find what you seek. There is also a thread that was similar to this one you may find something from as I have a feeling its related in some ways.

Are you sure they're not teenagers?

I have been researching into the hooded beings more and your elder theory is interesting. I do not fear them, well at first I did because everything seem so dark but now I am learning more and accepting that centeries ago it was a dark place to be. They are giving me more and more signs through books and pictures I am reading.

The beings are not the ones disturbing my partner, there are other recent spirits, that are bothering her.

If the first visit was an elder, why would he visit me? What would the purpose be. Could it be that the elder was trying to say hey wake up girlfiend, you are what you are and you need to look deeper? We are here for you?? So many unanswered questions, and no patience. Greek gypsy.

Yes the young generally do fear the dark. However there is nothing to fear, as FEAR is simply False Evidence Appearing Real.

Well you may want to think of using a banishing. Though generally something that will act as a nullifier is white sage. If you go with the sage I recommend wafing it all around the house from top to bottom, on the walls, inside of dark corners of furiniture, and in the corners of rooms where things like to hide. I'd also like to point out that I'm getting an energetic of a "Grand-father" don't know what that means, but you probably understand.

Generally its something like that. In fact maybe just more actively seeking the answer could be their purpose. It is not the job of an elder to tell you answers. But for you to find your own truth.

Welcome to the club. As I would say to those who manifest I would say the same to you. Make your intentions known to the universe to what you seek, and let it go, so it may rain apon you.

Oh...and if you do see the words "sk8 or die" written on your walls, look up Exawan as he may have the right idea.

When I first met my partner, she immediatley told me I was a witch and a very powerful one. Me i just thought i was normal and everyone else was not normal. As I have told her stories of my encounters with the hooded being, especially the first one (standing at the foot of my bed), we have slowly pieced together the mystery, and I am coming to terms with it. My problem being is that i have trouble focussing and therefore meditating/visualising is very difficult for me. So I wait until they come to me.

I have been praying to the gods and goddess to protect me from the dark side, and here in Tasmania there is a full moon/eclipse tomorrow night, so maybe that would be a good opportunity to ask the beings their intentions for me or mine for them. Can you recommend a ritual or chant that could help me.

Maybe try reading the book on Mia Dolan. She spoke with her spirit guide and he helped her, allot.

I hope I'm not too late with this.

I've had experiences with hooded beings as well, though the most prominent one I'll describe. First, however, my assertion of them is that they are benevolent beings. I have never felt fear.

That said, here is what happened. A friend committed suicide in my home, and I was coping with the trauma. My b/f at the time didn't want to spend the nights because he could also feel the negative energy residual that my friend left behind, but he did anyway (about 2 months afterward). Early one morning (I was always up before him), he was half-awake and saw me go into the family room. He said he shut his eyes, opened them again, and saw a large, hooded being standing in the doorway, watching me. The being was as tall as the doorway.

He said he felt an immense amount of peace, and was suddenly reassured, and fell back to sleep. Then he jolted awake--his conscious self finally registering what he saw--and nearly freaked. My ex b/f never believed in "ghosts" or anything outside of Christianity, so he was very, very shocked.

The fact that he saw it and not me tells me something: I needed reassurance that I was being protected, but had I seen the hooded being, I think I would have cracked. His showing himself to my b/f when half-asleep allowed the b/f to communicate the experience with me. The feeling of intense peace tells me that he/it is benevolent.

I also suspect quite strong.

So that's my experience. I hope it helps you better understand yours.

We were also talking about these "hooded" monk roded beings on Other Mystical Wonders Topics on a thread by star called - "has anyone else seen the dark hooded figures?"

I had nearly nightly encounters with one of these hooded beings from around age 7 until my late 20's. This one was like a personal "Guide" or teacher while I was OOB each night. I won't repeat here some of what I said on the other thread about this but just say that from long personal experiences, it was VERY positive learnings. I feel these hooded monks robed faceless astral guides/teachers are far more common that we'd guess.

Its funny because when it occurred, it was as if the being's body and the way the body language was it was like he was looking down on me fondly almost like a lover would. I am still amazed that I had enough time to comprehend what it was and then to see it move and hear the noise of the cloak, well no-one would be believe me.

I have medidated to visit my spirit guides and again, there were hooded beings many of them in a small stone room all in neat rows standing, all dressed the same and all quiet. At first I was upset because it seemed so dark to have these as spirit guides but I have since reconsiled these beings are not dark, in fact there to protect me. Plus it was a dark place to be centuries ago, and I believe that I was tortured and persucuted for being a white witch. My birthchart also substansiates this. I guess being a girl, I thought I would see lovely white flowing beings, but for me they are what they are and I accept them and honour them as I see the visit to me as special. Taschick

although I'm sure there are many visually hooded appearing entities....
....I've met hood figures in many of my own astral travels....in my experiences they are of reptilian decent....they live in the unseen or shadow realm of earth....there incredibly old...predating even humans....if you have good energy and good intents they are friends and superior teachers....
