I was wondering if there were any preferred (legit.) books or resources to learn astrology?

Here is a good book to start with Aspects in Astrology: A Guide to Understanding Planetary Relationships also books by Bernadette Brady are good.

Things to learn for example are how the recent movements of fixed stars like Denebola combined with the Planetary movements of Mercury (21° 38' Virgo) exalted Sept 29 - Aug 10, 2009 historically influences things like natural disasters and catastrophes. Mercury is know and the divine messenger and the one whom foretells these events for all to see from the historical record of the heavens. Take my advice and learn more about the major planets and stars first then apply the basic rules of
Astrology and the 12 signs of the zodiac to that. I have written allot about these influences over the years and done much personal research into how the Stars and the Planets affect the Earth.
