Sigil Magick

Welcome to the wonderful world of sigil magick!

This is one of the main ideas of chaos magick. I'm only providing a rough outline here; for a more in-depth course, read a book. There are several good ones on sigil magick. Any half-decent occult bookstore can probably recommend one to you. Alternatively, visit the links page.

Sigil magick is based on the idea that magick is largely your subconscious at work. A sigil is made, charged, and submitted to your inner psyche for processing.

It's a fairly simple working; the hardest part is charging the sigil.

First, write a statement of your intent. Something like this: "I will lose five pounds." Try to make it as assertive as possible (ie "I will" instead of "I want to").

Now you can do one of two things, or both, whichever you want. Eliminate all the repeating letters, so it reads "I wil ose fiv pund." You can also eliminate the vowels if you want, making it "Wlsfvpnd." I find it easiest to do both (fewer letters to work with).

Now, make a sigil with your letters. This can be anything. Arrange the letters any way you want; just make sure they can't be recognized as the original statement.

Now for the hard part: charging your sigil. There are several methods you can use. First, stare at your sigil for a while, focusing all your attention on it. Don't think about your intent; you don't have to do that, because it's all put in the sigil. Then when you're ready, start charging! You can do it any way you want: sexual energy (I hope we all know what that is!), fear, love, anger, pain, whatever.

Now that you've charged it, forget everything. That's right: erase the sigil from your mind. It doesn't matter if you remember that you did a working, or what the working was for; just forget the actual sigil. This is because a big idea in chaos magick is that lust for results screws around with the natural course of the magick. Another important thing: if you're trying to lose five pounds, don't stop dieting just because you did the working. This also messes up what might happen naturally.

If it doesn't work the first time, try again! It's important to experiment when doing chaos magick. If this doesn't work for you, make up your own thing.

Chaos Magick is something that I am now learning a lot about but I still deal alot with Ceremonial, Manifestional and other forms of magick.

Well while it's broadcasting you can stick the sigil on your monitor..

You can take it off and put it back on whenever you need.

Or try to project the sigil mentally into the middile...all with your mind.. Look at the sigil and project it onto the screen..

sigil magick is great! it's a useful addition to any "manifestation toolbox". a quick word to anyone new to this - no need to get caught up in the whole "am i doing this right?" thing. trust your own judgement. follow the basic instructions as given and feel free to make any adjustments you like. as an example, i like to use the first letter of each word from my statement of intent. there is no "right" way. i also make sigil images of my intent. i add effects to the image so that it's unrecognizable by my conscious but it still is the image. the theory behind all this is as stated above - your subconscious does the work - and your subconscious speaks in symbolic language - a sigil is basically a symbol.

if you are familiar with manifestation in general, you know not to make specific demands as to how something should come to you. if you want 25 million, say so, don't demand that you win the lottery - you close yourself off to other possible ways the money could come.

the whole sigil thing is to get your conscious out of the way - the controlling part of you, so that your creative subconscious can handle the necessary ddetails through the path of least resistance.

There was some person with who I didnt talked for long, I also was not eager to talk with her, so I was not obsessed with results and I decided to try a sigil for her contacting me this same day. I stated the intention like *NAME* TALKS TO ME TODAY and reduced it the way I liked more and would had few letters. Made a draw of a sigil with the letters, draw a circle around, and used sex energy to charge it, then I burnt the paper and forgot. Few hours later she talked to me Razz
