I am an energy worker and have been working with distance attunements for a little while now. I am interested in working with other people who have some experience working with energy and attunements to get some feedback on the experiences of the attunee during the process. Im trying to see which attunements are physically experienced, what emotional or spiritual responses people have, etc. to my attunements. I distance attune you, you give me feedback, then the other person would do a distance attunement for contrast and comparison.

Hi, Raven. I was just reading your reply when I thought to myself, well wish I could help, but I can't do what your talking about. Wish I could, though, sounds cool. Anyways, I was going to click off and move on, but then I saw you were from Levittown, Pa. I'm origianlly from Harrisburg. Where exactly is Levittown? I've heard of it. Is it close to Pittsburg? Just wanted to say hello to a fellow Pennsylvanian. Thats what I miss about Pa. There are a lot of cool people like you into this kind of stuff. I have in the past month had 2 Reiki 1 attunments totally opposite experiences but the 2nd was an attunment for Reiki I, II, III in the understanding that our devotion to learning and practicing would show how far we actually will go.

I experienced slow healing with the first Reiki 1 attunment.
I am unsure yet about how strong the 2nd connection was.

My first attunment was done on me while I new nothing of what was going on, I was to just stay relaxed for an hour before and during, I felt the attunment lasted for about 45 min. I signed on right after this to email my (attuner) and he signed on right after I did. I do feel vibrations under my hands and sometimes pain in my hands. But the self healings were going very slow. Not completey healed yet and the attunment felt more spiritually healing.

I have started sending distant healing to people in my area total of 3 that have given permission.

Point being that I am not certain that my attunment went all so well because even though I planned quite and peace things did not work out accordingly on either occasion. But do believe that it is the intent that is what mattered most, as I was told.

As I get more practice though I will be more than happy to do attunment with you though I realize you are more experienced than I and are looking for someone already at your level. If there are no replies like this then let me know if you would be interested.

I am taking my studies very serious and am reading all that I can on the subject. I have even contacted a more local Reiki teacher to discuss things with.

My 2nd attunments were done in a group and there is all the support and directions to get any answer that they can not provide. Ther are alot of master/teachers there though so I have not been left without an answer yet.

What level of Reidi do you have? I am a Reiki Master and have been working with it for a very long time. Local and long distance. When you talk about attunements exactly what do you mean? Healings, chakra balancing and such things? Just want to claify here.

For the other member who said they tried long distance healing. Your intent is very important, and it is important to know that you are sending that healing energy, and the other party is receiving it. When doing healings sometimes it helps to use a surrogate such as a teddy bear. With the intent being that the teddy bear is the person you are healing. They work wonderful! Very Happy

I'm very perceptive of the energies - but have no experience in giving attunements.
I am 2nd level Usui Reiki (will be Master in the spring with next attunement), 2nd level Tera Mai Reiki and allso attuned to Schiem w/ indalo (all elements).
There was some energy there before the attunemnts - that, I have no name for.

By attunment she means to be opened to the energy ( Yes an opening and balancing of the charkas) and received the symbols and basic knowledge of the level for whick the attunment was given.

I have been attuned to a master level but my skill and knowledge is not yet at that level. I have been using pictures and symbols to do distant healing. Thanks for your suggestion I read in a book also that the teddy was a good way to do distant healing along with gems or crystals.

I do also plan on getting a master attunment Reiki Level III from a teacher in person this summer.

It is my understanding that you do not have the ability to pass on an attunment of any level (Reiki I or II or III) until you have already receiced the energy and knowledge (attunment) of Reiki Level III.
And after that it is a matter of experience and guidance from past masters and the Teacher/master passing on the attunment to the person wishing to aquire the energy and skill.

Thanks angela I really had not even thought of that. Something to try later. I really love Reiki though I have been able to enjoy life so much more, no worry, no anger... I do so try to live by this.

I really need to relocate to make the best of my spiritual life, I have just been stuck in the trying to help others, it is a relief to be able to do this and not have all the entangelments that I had before Reiki.

I also am working on develping my psychic abilities. I am trying to meet my guides because I do know that they are there.

Good Luck with the master level I know it's taken you alot to get this far.

Raven seems to have desereted her question as I have seen no replies from her. Maybe the others who have shown interest in this topic such as myself should trade attunments with each other. It can definately help us see what kind of response and experiences we will have and give to the one we attune.

I have been attuned to a Reiki III level, I have definately felt many different things while using Reiki and My attunments were from 2 differe teachers and my experiences with all were different.

I still have a lot to learn or curiousities or else I would not have responded to this post in the first place.

I would like to try to attune someone and have read that even dogs can have reiki I I think animals are born with some type of reiki even if it just help sooth frayed nerves.

Just a suggestion. Let me know what you think.

I have followed with interest the observations on distance attunements. I have done Reiki I & II. As I understand, attunements are of a very personal nature, and a face-to-face approach is necessary. Yes, distance healing is all right...but distance attunements...I am not very sure or eager.

I understand the curiosity to try out anything. But we must remember the purpose. Reiki, like other Cosmic healing methods, is nature's best option to heal onself and others in a spirit of love and fellow-feeling. It must be enjoyed in the full glory of the Cosmic energy that surrounds us, and we must respect/accept the mystery behind it. Even mainstream medical institutions in the US and the UK are incorporating these systems with allopathic medicine, with dramatic results.

I have been practicing Reiki healing, mostly distance, for the past three years. To tell you the truth, many a times I do not even remember the prescribed Reiki symbols. But the healing is still dramatic. I believe that Reiki, like other systems, just heals you and prepares you as a healer. It is then your direct communion with nature/cosmic energy that guides you in healing in the spirit of love and service.

To trade/exchange attunements seems to me like having a beautiful flower in your hand and then plucking its leaves one by one to find out why and how it is so beautiful or fragrant. May I suggest that we try to use our hearts more than our heads. Swaraaj

Yes, about Trish mentioning about Reiki and dogs. We must not confuse between healing and attunements. I do not know whether you can give attunement to a dog! I suppose it would amount to healing. I have been lucky enough to give healing two years ago to my relation's young pup who was almost dying. He is now a healthy, loving and strong pet, and the most important member of the family!
