Naruto sucks. Too many commercials, 5 minutes of flashback from the last episode into each new episode, and then the last 5 minutes talk about what's going to happen on the next episode, then in the middle of the episode there's like 2 or 3 minutes of flashbacks from much older episodes.

On a more serious note, however, remember, cartoons aren't generally based on real life physics, and as such, generally don't base themselves on real metaphysics. It's like Dragonball Z. If you could summon that kind of energy and all you did with it was attack or show off, you'd be immensely wasting your time, talent, and the energy itself, and that would be inexcusable. Plus some moron would probably blow the planet up because they were feeling emo that day.

If you want to know about the hand seals, stick to one of the ninja books on the market like Art of the Ninja. It won't teach you how to fly or do grand displays of special effects, however. And if you want a real system of comprehensive magical training try out something like Initiation Into Hermetics - but be warned, it's about balance, completion, the total path, and it requires patience and getting to "know thyself", which seems to be scary for some people.

You can probably honestly find what you need via Google, but don't be too shocked if it's not everything you thought it would be. Life is still amazing and awesome and has much to behold, but sometimes you have to learn to let go of your view of the world to notice.

There maybe more than 9 kuji-in-cuts (which actually means "the nine cuts" or something), and I am also sure there are more. But has no-one mentioned the elemental modes? They are not part of the kuji-in. Chi,sui,ka,fu,ku. 5 elemental modes in total and they should be counted in as well. In my opinion, these elemental modes are the very foundation of this meditation system. (and have extreme benefits to those who keep on training).

O_O I make some of those gestures when I cast my spells or meditate... and I don't know any of this stuff...

I find this Kuji-in technique to be... fascinating. It also looks familiar. And not just from anime, but I have this feeling I've used it before...

Oh that's right... This is probably bringing up a few past lives. I have so many I can't keep track of them all >_>

Well, at least I know where to go and who to turn to if I want to "re-learn" this. Would be fun to mix this with my magic and psychic techniques.

Everything in fantasy has a basis in reality. As such, everything in fantasy A.) holds some sort of usage, and B.) has it's own reality.

Understand this, and you'll understand why someone who mastered Kuji-in, and mixed it with, say, forcecraft, could cause some devastation. It is why there are finite lifespans and something that, for lack of a better word, I will call a "level cap", which I find limits the progress any one person can make in one day without losing their marbles.

As such, you rarely see anyone who can do the things like what you see in anime (Naruto is not a cartoon, but anime) in this world because of this level cap, and also because of the laws of physics AND metaphysics. In other worlds, you will often see s*** like that happening all the time, and people will do it just for LULZ, or to show off.

Also, the level cap is real. That is why there are things like burn out and the Necronomicon Spell Book driving people insane. Too much power at one time will stop you from learning until you cool down.

It's also why some people have more power than other people, and why the Gods are practically unlimited in almost every form of power.

And I am sure that all of the kuji-in works (with only knitting of the fingers, the hand signs) when trained for some time. These are all some unknown forces and energies that influence the trainee.

For me for instance when training Retsu (Tung), the 7th main cut, that is all about telekinesis, body temperature control and slowing/freezing time. After meditating on this particular cut and when it works I get a very arrogant feeling afterwards that lasts for like 30 minutes.

After reading more about Kuji-in, it sounds like something I would really like to learn to incorporate into my meditation, my work, and other such things.

Perhaps Haywire or the starter of this topic could give me some tips...

If you teach me some channeling I'll give my information about the kuji-in.
Or, when my mind starts to work normally, I get more out of everything... the benefits of removing the "burden" are outstanding... regular people would never believe the effects that follow... so... only when I've gotten rid of that sh*t, I will tell you what I know, maybe via msn? What did you have in mind?

These things are also like Mantras it is used for luck and possibly conjuration.

Sakura anyone can do it regardless of age or physical condition, but those too do give an advantage if the practinioner is a martial artist (and usually is). The cuts are not really used for luck or some conjuration, this is not true. I have so much respect for the meditation system. 5 elemental modes: earth, water, wind/possibly air?, fire, void/nothing&everything(this is most important)... Some permanent effects: Rin->physical strenght and mental willpower or such, Hei->developed concentration ability and such, Toh->peace and harmony with the universe, sha->unknown effects, kai->bodily control in total, jin->automatic understanding of other's thoughts and possibly even emotions, retsu->unknown effects + something extremely powerful, Zai->ability to be in all ways invisible to others, and expertise of hiding mentally, Zen->increased patience.

And so on and so on...

hi all,it seems that kuji in is a very popular thing....well I've been studying ninjitsu(bujinkan) and I've been into Buddhism for a while.....don't want to dissapoint you but 99% of information on the internet about these kind of stuff are just fake....they originite from "Ninja boom" in the 80s when many people gained profit from just saying "ninja"........don't wanna say that they are fake,but if you want to study kuji in and kuji kiri learn about Mikkyo(esoteric Buddhism) because only few people now anything about it in the whole world.......
