Are there any techniques for influencing someone in the middle of a conversation? Preferably at a distance, but most psychic stuff generally works at a distance.

If you mean sexual influence, then yes. I'm not really good at it but I know of some techniques and I've done this stuff. The most usefull piece of info that I have found is the Mind Power Seduction Manual by Amargi Hillier.

There is however more than that, although it is more than enough to get someone started.

If you refer to non sexual influence, there are also some other thechniques that can make a debate esier by slowing down the brainwave patterns of your oponent thus blurring his focus and thinking ability.

If you mean any kind of influence the answer is yes Smile The thing is that -at least in my personal experience- it isn´t that easy! I have seen websites that show you how to influence people with your speech. Not any websites, but reliable websites like the Mind Power News. Also, there is one episode of Chris Angel: Mind Freak in which he is giving out flyers to people walking by. This flyers have subliminal messages in them, so people fall asleep immediatelly. Also, what I have done sometimes is that while talking to some people I create a psychiq channel from my mind to the other person´s mind and then I start sending messages with instructions.
