Technically it's called shaktipat, and the closest I got was after my reiki 2 initiation. That night I saw a spinning shape with my eyes closed and my master said that was drilling my 3rd eye open. I'm certainly clairvoyant and able to feel auras with my hands in people and objects, so maybe it did do something.
I also had a skygong treatment at a distance which raised my kundalini for a number of days so I can say distant energy work with all chakras certainly can be done by energy masters.
