This group is quite new. And I know on other forums, i prefer to answer subjects rather than post new ones. So I'm biting the bullet and posting a question to try to help get the ball rolling.
Although I'm mainly an empath, I do occassionally use some candle magic to aid my understanding and meditation. For me it is white magic designed to put my thoughts and soul in harmony with the world.
I have had some nice positive results, but have also had a few failiures.
What sorts of magic do you practice and what sort of results have you had? |

I am eclectic solitary. I am not wiccan perse but I do try to follow the 3 fold law and try to uphold the reade although some times it is necessary to do defensive magic. I try to keep with only white magic. I make my own candle for rituals when I have the time I make my own incense for rituals and meditation, although I sometimes have a hard time finding time. I have three girls my oldest turns four on valentines day and the other are 2 1/2 and 1 hope this helps
Merry meet

Hi Niska,
You have your hands full!! Though it won't be too long before you have some willing help with your candle making from those three girls!

My interests have been pretty borad. Initially I just "dug" the mystery traditions of the gaelic, european and middle eastern civilisations, which lead me to investigate wicca (which i found wasnt for me). That then lead me onto ceremonial magick (fueled by my lifelong interest in Aleister Crowley). So hermetic theory, qabalah, elemental energies etc became part of my day to day runnings, mixed in with tarot (not the airy fairy "am i going ot get rich" sort :p) and a little bit of intro enochian.
That all got a bit... routine and heavy. I've come back around to the more traditional witchin', but NOT wicca. Mush that all together, with patron/matron deities such as Isis, Thoth, Anubis and an affinity with Pan and you'll eventually go crazy |

You posted that you have an interst in Thoth. I was wondering if you have read the Emerald Tablets, and if maybe you could direct me to a copy of them to read. I read something claiming to be "The Emerald Tablets" by Thoth the Atlantean- but the source was not trusted and it seemed a bit sketchy. What I did read was fascinating, but I would hate to get my facts crossed. Also, what other resources do you have on Thoth?
Thanks in advance! |

| I typically go with pendling, but I also do rune and candle magick, sometimes combining the two. I plan on expanding my horizons a bit, though. Although, in magick, I am still a beginner, but I happen to know quite a bit. Can anyone recommend a type of magick that would be good for a knowledgeable newbie? |

Eclectic solitary, purveyor of fine home made wands and incense.
soothsayer of bad jokes (how many witches does it take to change a light bulb?) and general all rounder.

| I usually just let people know that I'm a Metaphysical Spiritualist but, I also love giving tarot readings. My other specialty is candle magic and my strong facination for rosicrucians probably cause its in my family! LOL I can do other things as well but only when the situation calls for it so I prefer not to name them. Be Blessed all |

| I believe there are three kinds: white/black/grey. I prefer to practice white magic I also do high magic. It depends on what you feel comfortable with doing. There is a book called Foundations of High Magic, not sure if you want to do this but this book may interest you! Happy Learning. Be Blessed Kat |

Hi, I'm a witch (was initiated Garderian 3 years ago), follow the festivals, don't do many spells though. I personally believe that things should be sorted on the physical and if they need a push, then concentrate thoughts and intents at it (i.e.a spell) Have had some good results from the few I have done.
My interests are Kabbalah. I must say that I am no expert though- I find it absolutely fascinating. It leads you down paths and avenues where I didn't expect to go - and I find myself stumbling across insights I never expected to get, fab
I use the tarot in conjunction with the Kabbalah and any workings/spells I do are based around the LBRP (Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram)
