I was raised a Christian, and during that time i have seen alot of power manifested in Christians, whether phsyical/emotional healing or success and situations just going the right way. i have recently been exposed to mind power and energy and started questioning what i actually believed. Just the other day i as i was thinking, i believe i have found why Christians have access to such power even with out any knowledge of energies and mind power. so here it is, not sure if someone has already came up with this theory so if you have i apologize.

There are millions of Christians around the world, and each has a profound belief in the existence of their God. Now with that many minds all giving life to this God being with omnipotent powers maybe collectively they have created this God. they have enough faith to believe he will cause healing so healing happens, he will give them success and they get success, however they created their own religion with its guidelines so none of the success and healing will come to you if you dont abide by the rules of this religion. So in essence they all together have created Christianity and the power it holds. Alot of pentacostal Christian beliefs can be parralled to energy work and mind power. My parents always tell me to confess things like they already happened, and i see now that that access someones mind power to make it happen. Same with prayer, with the belief that their prayers will be answered they get answered. the belief that God can reveal things to you about others and the future, allows for Christians to prophecy. Christianity just takes what we know, but adapts it to their rules and hides it with God, Jesus, holy spirit. etc

any thoughts on this?

Well, I personally do not believe that this is true. (No offence!!!) you said that you were raised Christian, are you still a Christian? Because if you are, this is completely against what you believe. I personally am a devout Christian but fully believe in the powers of the mind. However, this powere is nothing compared to God's.

as a big mind, so a little mind. 1=2 as 2=1
we compare ourself as little beings, but thats like difference an atom to the explosion of them, the potential to the release of it.

I'm the scientific, logical sort (my interest in magic is more academic curiosity than anything else). I was raised Jewish, but my beliefs now vary a bit from tradition.

To me, God is merely a label given to an unknown referant, the "universal unknown", if you will. Everything that seems to defy reason is and has always been attributed to God or some other deity or force representing this unknown.

As we progress and learn more about they way things are, the unknown referant becomes a known referant and is given a new name. For example, disease, which used to be believed to be caused by God (or any other name for the same referant) is now known to be caused by known referants like bacteria, viruses, and genes. While the cause didn't change, our understanding did.

My theory on not just Christianity but of all religions is that they are ways of qualifying and labeling unknown reasons. Which one you choose is merely a matter of semantics and moral principles, with slight variance.

That's just my two cents on the subject.

the buddhists say the ultimate reality is that of bliss. the yogas and chinese practises aim to cultivate this bliss. as bliss is to chi, so warmth is to the redness of skin.
the body heats up to try and kill bacteria, viruses etc yes? so if you have, and can "assimilate" an internal heat, the point were no illness can harm the body can be reached ya? haha

the fire of kundalini, and bliss of kundalini are merley two sides of one coin.

my 2 cents on this!

chritianity like all religions preaches purely a way of life and in the exact same manner like all religions gives god a form and in turn "uses" god as a rationale to promote the so called "rules" and "ways" of a good life..

please dont take the words in the literal sense rather try get the essence..
the origin of religion will surely come down to a point of a though / power / ambition of one man or a group of men who wud have realized that common men and women need direction in order to be civilized, and hence the origin.. preaching the same way and direction with the "reason" of god only makes it more acceptable to masses at large...

this vision was right in every sense because, religion is followed purely by faith and indeed faith has trmendous energy.
I am a Hindu, and i realize there are various practices, rituals, teachings which are not in anyway linked to god rather given the form of god since these are good ways, and practices...often the rituals have lost meanings due to myths and the reasoning being lost over the years...

coming to the point of manifestation..
i dont believe BUT KNOW that god exists...but he is formless...
the spiritual side of religion only gives a common man/woman a "form" to perceive gods presence...his existence...
manifestation through the power of mind is drastically different...since mind power is real wherein if you are really "aware" what you are doing is sending intense signals to the source and which in turns manifests itself! Smile

ofcourse, your karma over-rides everything!

a classic eg.
my very dear friend...a devout chritian....her brother was near death...and there were masssive prayers for him through out the church memebers for 4months!!! tht dude survived!!
it would be interesting asnwer from everyone i would like to have from all of you...

was it mind power and the power of prayer?
was it god?

my take...
its his karma which in turn is the supreme rule of the universe and of god!
