Have you heard about the new “Sacred Blessings” CD? It's a collection of songs inspired by the world’s great faiths, all handpicked by life coach ANTHONY ROBBINS. The CD features chants/mantras/music by Deva Premal, Miten & Craig Pruess. Its perfect for releasing your mind while meditating and doing yoga. Listen to some of the tracks like "I Love You Lord", "So much Magnificance", "You can Relax now" and my personal favorite the "Gayatri Mantra". You can sample some tracks at www.kosmicmusic.com/Product.do?code=KUS-10078&category=_future and buy the CD there, or at your local retail store.

I listen to Bob Marley when I meditate. The steel drums and rasta sound just soothes and calms me. |

Yes Bob Marley is a legend and very metaphysical spiritual person.
Some even call him a prophet..
Listen to his songs. They ring tune to our souls..
I love 'Natural Mystic'
Its filled of so much truth and wisdom
There are also many other Reggae singers who sing conscious music.. They literally call it conscious music! and they're filled with so much lovely tunes of wisdom, power and energy..
Other artists include sizzla, anthony b, coco tea, matisyahu (a jewish spiritual reggea singer)...
There are so much!! |

Hi d_redant. I just heard the bob marleys natural mystic & i didn't found it relaxing or conducive to meditation. May be i am wrong but i think Merlins magic: The heart of Reiki is better for meditation than natural mystic.
Please reply. Thank you. |

Everyone's experience is difference..but definately you're the first person I've heard commented in a negative manner about the relaxing medatitive music of bob marley.
You're surely not use to this type of music.. Visit the Caribbean..or go to a Rasta Party..where love and oneness sounds and lyrics are played..where you will feel the united energies.. If you're psychic as well you'll really get a lovely experience in these types of parties.
It does wonders to flow inspiration, relaxation and deep meditation for me and alot of other people whom I know personally worldwide.
That Reiki music is obviously different. from natural mystic.
You see bob marley tapped into the collective unconsciousness..and produced his inspirations for the world..in music..
When he entered altered states of consciousness (though smoking the weed) he was able to channel words and creative inspiration for his songs. He tapped into the vibe which is alot of other people do when they meditate, hum, chant, etc.
Obviously the heart of reiki music would be different form Bob Marley's works. You should surely be able to see the clear differences in these types of music..
You see Bob Marley is in the mainstream.. I commented on some mainstream spiritual music..
All spiritual music is of importance and greatness. I would not say one is better than the other.
For you the Reiki Music may be better...but for someone else it may not be.
Accept that each has their own path..and that none is better than the other.

yes i shouldn't have compared it. I didn't mean it is bad or negative. I liked the music. i just didn't find it meditative.
Actually i am used to slow music without beats & this may be the reason why i said something like that......... |

Is it totally bizarre to feel the most "charged" after listening to Metal or Metalcore music? Not all of it works, but in most of the music I like, I can definitely feel something. |

|
|
Hello, I find that my musical tastes vary with my mood and also my purposes.....I enjoy soothing seas and Tibetan bowls while meditating, but also guitar music, and the Tallis scholars.....or Lorena Mckinnet (sp?)....Somtimes if I am very sad, as I have been this past year grieving, I cannot listen to music at all. It evokes too much emotion. As a musician, with eclectic tastes, I agree that music is a personal matter, and whatever one enjoys, one should sample. I cannot live without satellite radio....I'd take it to the desert isle, should I have one wish before being banished, LOL! |

|
|
Pianist John McAndrew will inspire forgiveness in your heart with his powerful new adult contemporary album. The album, Forgiven, is a crossover of blues and pop-inspired themes that has attracted the ears of A/C listeners. Some common themes McAndrew likes to sing of are hope, love, and prayer. When John isn’t writing music or touring, he spends a lot of his time working with Recovery Groups, Treatment Centers, and Churches. His messages of forgiveness are spread throughout his personal life and music career. You can learn more and buy Forgiven at WBA Records: http://wbarecords.net/artists/john-mcandrew.
Jack “Jack Daniels” Dill, founding member of the band Highway 101, says "I was a fan of John from the moment I heard his music and met him. Not only of his music, but of the man who is genuine and honest and always from the heart. His music is a window into his soul and it speaks to the feelings and issues we all have regarding hope, love and the power we all need to carry on. Plus, it is a blessing to play music with him as well."

|
|
Classical music leads us towards the communion with the ineffable, which is not of time and which is eternal! Modern music does not have harmony or authentic melody and it lacks precise rhythm as well.
Some great classical composers include Beethoven, Wagner, Mozart, Bach, and Berlioz, known in esotericism as "Apostles of Art," to quote Samael Aun Weor in Igneous Rose, the Elemental Magic of the Saffron. There really are countless initiates who worked within the European classical ray of music, and it would be very difficult to provide an exhaustive list. However, we can refer to some of the most renown apostles of art, such as Bizet, Brahms, Boito, Gounod, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Dukas, Chopin, Liszt, etc.
In relation with the divine instruction of music, the Venerable Master of Art and Freemasonry, Ludwig van Beethoven, stated the following immortal words:
"There is no loftier mission than to approach the Divinity nearer than other men, and to disseminate the divine rays among mankind."—Letter to Archduke Rudolph, August 1823
"Music is the one incorporeal entrance into the higher world of knowledge which comprehends mankind but which mankind cannot comprehend." —Quoted by Bettina von Arnin, letter to Goethe, 1810
"When I open my eyes I must sigh, for what I see is contrary to my religion, and I must despise the world which does not know that music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy." —Quoted by Bettina von Arnin, letter to Goethe, 1810
"He who understands my music can never know unhappiness again."
Therefore, when we know the esoteric, Kabbalistic messages contained within the great scriptures of music (for they really are scriptures), what need is there to listen to anything else but the great Word of God? Let us examine the Kabbalistic teachings of Beethoven's Choral Fantasy in C minor.
Schmeichelnd hold und lieblich klingen
Graceful, charming and sweet is the (universal current of) sound
unseres Lebens Harmonien,
Of our life’s harmonies,
und dem Schönheitssinn entschwingen
and from a sense of beauty (Tiphereth) arise
Blumen sich, die ewig blühn.
Flowers which eternally bloom (the virtues of the soul).
Fried und Freude gleiten freundlich
Peace (Tiphereth) and joy (the Nordic Froh, Christ) advance in perfect concord
(the Son of Man within the Pillar of Equilibrium of the Tree of Life),
wie der Wellen Wechselspiel.
like the changing play of the waves (in the ocean of the Divine Mother, the Absolute).
Was sich drängte rauh und feindlich,
All that was harsh and hostile (caused by ego),
ordnet sich zu Hochgefühl.
has turned into sublime delight (through sublimation and alchemy).
Wenn der Töne Zauber walten
When music's enchantment reigns (in one's consciousness),
und des Wortes Weihe spricht,
speaking of the sacred word (of Christ),
muss sich Herrliches gestalten,
Magnificence takes form (in the Bodhisattva who incarnates the Lord),
Nacht und Stürme werden Licht.
The (spiritual) night and the tempest (of Karma) turns to light:
Äuss're Ruhe, inn're Wonne
Outer peace (Al-Zahir: the Manifest) and inner bliss (Al-Batin, the Immanent;
two of sacred names of God in Islam)
herrschen für den Glücklichen.
Reign o'er the fortunate ones (the righteous, Tzaddikim).
Doch der Künste Frühlingssonne
All art in the spring's sun
lässt aus beiden Licht entstehn.
Lets light (comprehension) flow from both.
Großes, das ins Herz gedrungen,
Greatness (Kether, the Mercy of Mercies), once it has pierced the heart,
(through the awakening of the heart doctrine within)
blüht dann neu und schön empor.
Then blooms anew in all its beauty (splendor, Zohar).
Hat ein Geist sich aufgeschwungen,
Once one's being has taken flight (in profound meditation),
hallt ihm stets ein Geisterchor.
A choir of spirits resounds in response (through the initiatic and final resurrection).
Nehmt denn hin, ihr schönen Seelen,
Accept then, you beautiful souls (who work with the three factors),
froh die Gaben schöner Kunst
Joyously the gifts of high art (the sacrifice of the Bodhisattvas of music).
Wenn sich Lieb und Kraft vermählen,
When love (Gedulah) and strength (Geburah) are united,
lohnt den Menschen Göttergunst.
God’s grace (Chokmah, Christ) is bestowed upon Man (Tiphereth).
Hallelujah! |
