i picked this up off my community pagan forum-
The Crystal Ba Gua: Using Crystals With Feng Shui
For those of you who arrange your home according to the properties of
Feng Shui, here is a modernized version of the Ba Gua Chart, using
crystals and stones. For those of you not familiar with Feng Shui, it
is
the directional Chinese art of working the with the flow of Chi - "life
energies that permeate the entire universe" - using colors and items
and
situating furniture to balance and bring harmony into your home, or
into
your environment.

This article will be giving you information on using the different
colors of crystals and stones, to bring that harmony and balance into
your home. Place the stones on windowsills, or set on a shelf or fasten
onto a picture frame. You can also attach pieces to a mirror or set as
decorations upon tables.

Direction: North. Front Door.
To Aid In: Progression, Life Path, Vocation, Career.
Use Red Stones such as: Ruby, garnet, dark carnelian.

Direction: Northeast. To the left of the front door.
To Aid In: Wisdom, Knowledge, Enlightenment, Skills.
Use Black Stones such as: Onyx, obsidian, smoky quartz, hematite.

Direction: East. Above the left front corner.
To Aid In: Family, Children, Health.
Use Dark Purple Stones such as: Amethyst, tanzanite, fluorite.

Direction: Southeast. Back left corner.
To Aid In: Wealth, Prosperity, Possessions.
Use Blue Stones such as: Sapphire, sodalite, lapis lazuli.

Direction: South. Very back of the house.
To Aid In: Fame, Publicity, Reputation.
Use Gold Stones such as: Topaz. tiger eye, amber.

Direction: Southwest. Back right corner.
To Aid In: Love, Relationships, Happiness, Peace.
Use Green Stones such as: Emerald, malachite, aventurine.

Direction: West. Above the right front corner.
To Aid In: Creativity, Fertility, Pleasure, Kids.
Use White Stones such as: Moonstone, opal, pearl, white fluorite.

Direction: Northwest. Front right corner.
To Aid In: Helpful people, travel.
Use Clear Stones such as: Quartz crystal, rock quartz, diamond.

Direction: Middle of your home.
To Aid In: Life and all other life's situations.
Use Yellow or Orange Stones such as: Citrine, yellow quartz, spinel.
Or,
Coral, orange opal, light carnelian.

Note: Ba Gua, is the 8-sided chart, or map, containing the nine areas
of
living quarters in your home; 8 sides and the center, or middle.

i have never feng shui-ed anything before i was just wondering how it works, why it works
more specifically about the above
1) do these stones center/attract desired energy to the specific area, to the stone, or throughout the house? is this directional energy drawn into the stone to charge it to acheive a more concentrated purpose?
2) i have never worked with colorology through stones. i suppose the visible light spectrum in these stone's identities are responsible for the vibrational properties that in turn ripple and effect our own energies. however when i was referencing gemstones/crystals and their purposes, not all of their purposes matched the directional purposes of this Ba Gua. i think lumping color properties with directional properties with gemstone purposes is not always a consistent fit. it might be more powerful tool to get the gemstone specifically used to (for instance) heal arthritis, placing this stone in the east direction (whether it be a purple stone or not) to better attract the healing eastern directional energies. that just makes sense to me rather than just finding any ole purple stone and tossing it in the purple pile on your easterly windowsill.
3) is it more beneficial to place the stones in the air or closer to an earth energy source (like in the basement so that the stone draws in the energy from the earth rather than the floating energy in the air)

that's all ive got for now... anyone with experience in this gemstone fengshui please tell me how well it has worked for you!
till then, i will be experimenting seeing which method works best be it colorolgy or just sheer intuition as to which stone goes where and for what purpose. hehe there is a better than good chance im overanalyzing but... i need to get to the bottom of this.
