One of the major problems for naturopaths trying to use homoeopathy, is the system seems far too complicated. Generally homoeopathic training is limited in naturopathic colleges and homoeopathy is usually taught as an accompaniment to a range of other modalities.
Historically homoeopathy has been the only alternative medicine, to really shake up the western world, although it has obviously fallen from this position since then.
As a naturopath and homoeopath, I know the difficulties homoeopathy can cause. Using simplexes usually gives way to complexes because they are easier to understand.
In the treatment of acute disease homoeopathy has shown its worth, but in the treatment of chronic disease it is often a different story. At present homoeopathy is in the grip of what I like to call symbolic fever, homoeopaths search in for omens and links, to a doctrine of signatures that simply does not work. Personally I think this makes contemporary homoeopathy look foolish and it is why in my belief the profession is losing ground.
I the beginning I was unable to define homoeopathic terminology like what exactly a miasm is and how to use the knowledge of it in practice. Since this time I have developed what I believe is a very simple application of homoeopathy that all naturopaths can clinically apply with results that are outstanding.
There is no doubt homoeopathy is a specialist modality especially in the treatment of chronic disease – what homoeopaths call constitutional prescribing - and this is the hurdle that stops naturopaths from using it. But this needn’t be the case. Homoeopathic constitutional prescribing has easy to learn laws and principles that are just as effective in chronic disease as it historically was in acute.
In practice I almost gave up homoeopathy all together save for some routine prescriptions like Arnica in trauma. Now I use homoeopathy consistently and its results are everything Hahnemann promised. The problem is homoeopaths have made the system too complicated to use.
If you’re interested in using homoeopathy again in an easy to learn formula see the following websites www.vcch.org and www.soulandsurvival.com you will not be disappointed. |
