Does anyone here know the quickest way to change the energy in a room from fear to love? I will be working with large groups of people that are being terrorized by immigration raids. I am also helping organizers get organized and not get caught up in the fear. The fear makes them feel victimized and powerless when they focus on this. the meetings we have had have been unproductive due to people's overwhelming fear. I am not afraid but it takes energy to keep trying to refocus everyone.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Please keep in mind these people have no knowledge of metaphsyical facts so it would be difficult to burn a candle or burn insense at the meetings.
thanks

| For this situation I'd probably go for chanting or singing. OM is always a good mantra for chanting and with the right intention can clear a room up really fast. |

Lavender would be great for that, hispanics are a very religious by nature and out of the several shrines I have seen there where Lavander incents near by.
Now you dont have to burn incents, AirWick makes a plug in despencer you can get at the dollar store and they have Lavender and Flower scents.
I use them for meditation and there great.
Hope this helps.

| Sage is better. Lavender very good though! Not to be under-estimated. |

Consultantmike, who said anything about hispanics? Besides, hispanics are from Spain. . . Not that this is relevant.
Anyway, humans are diurnal (active during the day), so darker environments should have a calming effect. It works that way for dogs and cats, anyway. . .
Sage and lavender are both good scents. Some people find sage repulsive though. Guage the audience's reactions to find out what to do next time.
Also, try to lead your audience. Smile, lean towards people you're interacting with, and smile. Make eye contact only if you're smiling. . . Eye contact plus a scowl isn't all that reassuring.
Just remember that people are pack animals. They'll follow a strong leader in both action and mentality. Who's the leader? Whoever acts like it, of course |
