Here is a little back story to asist whoever tries to help me. forgive the detail in some areas as i thought it was relavant.

Ok so i have after 6 years moved back into the house that i grew up in. I rent the place now as my parents moved and have been renting it out as of a couple years ago. At first everything was great i loved the place. Then when i got my bedroom moved in i began having terrible nightmares where i would be forced awake almost screaming in terror and not remember what had happened. The last few times i awoke i bolted upright and my eyes locked at a certain part of my room where a shadow of a man stood near my bed and then dissapeared. I began searching for something to help me as i was getting sick all the time because of not being able to sleep for more then 4 hours at a time or it would happen again. There was one exception to this as it never happened to me when my girlfriend would stay the night, But she was in college and i work evenings and graveyards so not much help.
After two weeks i found this site and read about the protection and how to manifest shielding around myself. I would mediate before bed and focus my enengy into a shield powered by my faith. Havent had a nightmare again or seen that shadow man again yet. Turns out while meditating the anwser came to me that when i was around my girlfriend i was subconsciously throwing a shield around myself trying to protect her hence why i wasnt bothered when she was around.

But now to my current problem which is that everytime i now try to start mediation my shield weakens enough to let something new in that screams "without sound" one inch from my face. It is it looks like a human made up of patchwork shadows and its face has a distoredly long jaw. It never does anything but scream without sound. but the "scream without sound" makes my shield almost viberate and i have to reinforce my shield keep it out. After i reinforce the shield i imagine hands of force grabbing this face and throwing it away from me. Then i imagine it being crushed in a sphere of force of my will till its gone. (Takes 2 to 4 tries)

This "patchwork shadow man" mostly appeared around me at home but slowly now apeares to me almost anywhere that i have a free moment where i try to refocus (a break at work, getting some air, wherever i take a few minutes). Oh and my girlfriend is no help against this problem.

Not meditating is making it harder to focus myself at work and life.

anyone who can give me a hint or outright tell me what the hell either of those things are i would greatly be in your debt.

Wow...how terrifying that must have been. I have actually gone through something similar about a week ago during meditation. I found myself looking at a little girl who was mute. She just stared at me for a bit, then she moved to the side, pointed behind her, and showed me what was a horrifying monster/demon who was coming right for me.

I woke up, was so terrified...I got ahold of Nightfall02 and he calmed me down. I got various perspectives on what I saw...and honestly, it's easier to blame it on an external force. It's easy to say that something is after us, when a good portion of the time, it's our subconscious trying to tell us something.

I believed it was within myself and faced it two nights ago. I stared it down in the eyes and I knew it could not harm me, for I was just facing my fears. He disappeared...and I went on with my meditation. Haven't seen it since then.

The mind does funny things man...I really think you should consider both perspectives. Try facing it is what I'd say....because if it's your subconscious, it will stay real until you face it to see what the real problem is...what's lying underneath. Feel free to message me.
