I am just learning about this stuff. I have had two experiences that may fit into this category, but both happened while I was asleep. I have always dreamed extremely lucid dreams, even as a child. In fact, I didn't realize that was unusual until recently. But these two particular dreams really stand out. The first happened the night my fiance passed away. This was years ago. He passed away very suddenly without any warning at all. Obviously grief stricken, I left the hospital and went back to our apartment. I cried myself to sleep on our bed. I hadn't had time to call one of my very close friends that lived about 100 miles away. I dreamed that I went to him, to his bedside, and shook him awake. I told him about what happened and he held me and comforted me until I "fell asleep" again within my dream. I woke up, obviously, in my own bed. Later that morning, my friend I had "visited" called me. He said, "You were shattered last night. How are you doing?" He was very much into metaphysical things although it is not something that he and I talked about very often. He believed I had actually been there. I didn't know what to believe and I had so much going on that it passed quickly from my mind and I have only thought about it in the years since. I realize that I was in an unusually emotional state and this could have influenced my dreams. Maybe that is all it was.

The second questionable experience was a lot different and under much less dramatic circumstances. I was sleeping and it started to rain. It was a summer night and I dreamed that I walked out into my driveway in my nightgown. I could feel the rain on my skin and I was aware that I was also lying in my bed at the same time. I could feel the gravel under my feet. I remember thinking to myself, "This is neat. I better get back while I can." I don't remember anything after that. It wasn't anything exceptional, and I have had much more lucid dreams than that, but the experience has still stuck with me through the years.

I would be very interested in any opinions or theories.

Obe and Lucid dreams are a bit different but ya there lucid dreams.
