Hi! I have been reading some of your posts about yes and no questions. And I need some advice!! I have used several methods for answering Yes and No questions.
What confuses me is that no my questions many times I get a YES response and then I get a NO response. And I do not know which ansewer is the TRUE answer. This has me very confused.
Looking forward to your feedback!

Hi Sungod 73
There's a couple of possible issues here-
1) The nature of the question- some questions are balanced equally on yes and no, so your answer may vary
solution- alter how you ask
2) The topic- some answers may be yes today and no tommorrow
solution- ask if the answer has changed
3) Interferance- sometimes mischievious or nasty beings may tinker with your answers
solution- shield, ward or otherwise protect your workspace
4) Ignorance- sometimes answers are coming from spirits that are giving their best answer but aren't as smart as they think they are
solution- ask for knowledgeable guides
5) Kidding ourselves- sometimes our innate power is unconsciously used to produce the answer we want to hear, rather than the Truth. Or we get the Truth and interpret it as something preferable
solution- ask for true answers, pray for insight, in high risk topics, double check with a psychic w/ no investment in the issue
Hope some of that helps
Catherine

1. Use an odd amount of cards
2. Read left to right
3. The harder the question is, the more in depth the answer you want behind the yes or no question, the more cards you should pull. Simple cards I recommend " three " anything more difficult then three cards normally aim for " five " or " seven "
4. Upright = yes
5. Reversed = no
6. The card in the middle has to be the same direction as the first card on the right to make the answer definate, example below.
Example of a yes:
First card is three of swords upright, six of swords upright, two of cups reversed. That would be a yes.
Example of a no:
First card is three of cups reversed, ace of swords reversed, the hermit upright. That would be a no.
Example of a maybe:
First card is The hermit upright, the tower reversed, three of cups reversed. That would be a maybe.
~ Because the middle card does not agree with the first card.
If you wonder why your answer is yes, or no, the cards at your hand would answer why, example is below:
Scenario: You just got out of a rocky relationship, and you ask, Would right now be a good time to date? Here is what you get.
Three of sword reversed, the lovers reversed, the hermit upright.
The cards say no, and if I was to wonder why they say no, I would read those three cards, and they say, exactly why a person wouldnt date after getting out a rocky relationship.
Hope that was helpful. |

I have the Celtic Deck so its hard to tell if the question is a yes. But most of the time it is a yes |

My problem with Yes or No Q&A readings is that the answer would only indicate a Yes or No for that moment in time, not necessarily the moment when a decision becomes active-- and a Yes or No reading cannot take into account all the many factors that may occur between the time of the reading and the time when a yes or no decision would actively affect an outcome.
What may be a Yes at one point may turn into a No at any given moment thereafter due to a change in circumstances or conditions or simply by the whims of other persons, factors, influences, or the course of nature. In essence, a Yes or No reading can only be a momentary snapshot of an indication as opposed to a definite conclusion.
It is just my opinion, based on 15 years Tarot experience, that Yes and No questions just don't fit with the Tarot if you want accuracy and depth to a problem or question. The Tarot isn't designed to make definitive answers for the Querrant nor is it designed to take away free will or reduce the randomness and diversity of an issue to a Yes or No or This or That or Black or White. Every question has some nuance or hidden layers to it or possible quirks or random element that could affect an outcome at any given moment.
Sure, someone could ask a Tarot reader if I was male or female... if I was tall or short, or thin or fat, young or old... But the answer would be relative. I can be a rather feminine male or a very masculine female... or I could be transgender... or be a male who acknowledges the duality of human nature or a female that knows she has an assertive, masculine authority complex and a need to be a sporty tomboy.
Someone could ask a Tarot reader the yes or no question, "Is Rachel a NY Rangers fan?" The cards might say yes (and the cards would be right) or it might say no (and be basically wrong unless the Rangers happened to play seriously badly and lost a game they should have won) but only reflect my disappointment with the team rather than a total dislike or indifference...
Someone might ask the yes or no question "Should I fill my gas tank with sawdust?" and get a Yes responce. The Tarot doesn't know if a Yes or No question is ridiculous or insane or stupid. And any Tarot reader that handles such a question should re-think what they are doing. The Tarot only knows how to provide relevent hints and insights to relevent, rational questions. For the above question, you ask a dumb question, the Tarot might as well give you a dumb answer. (I happen to believe the Tarot is smart enough to have an attitude and sense of humor.)
I also believe that the Tarot wants people to make choices for themselves-- it is a provider of hints and suggestions... the true answers should come from your actions or inactions and what you do with what you got.
Anyhow, that's my 2 cents

Thank you very much for your feedback!! :0 When I do Yes and No questions, I use Playing Cards.
I agree with when you say.......
In essence, a Yes or No reading can only be a momentary snapshot of an indication as opposed to a definite conclusion.
That makes a lot of sense. It is only and indication but not a conclusion.
