I'm having trouble trying to understand, does true love exist or is it just a

state of mind that we have made up to give our existence more meaning?

During one of my meetings with a highly placed Spiritual Master, he had delivered a lecture on love and understanding it in totality.

I cannot really ellaborate everything out here, and I wud try to get a discourse on that.

the same question was answered there during his discourse.

In a nut-shell...
It is is only the Love of God that is the pure love, and true love.
For everything else, there is a reason and a fallacy or a hard bound interest.

Its better we can discuss this.
You can voice your opinion and your thoughts, and I would try to fit the discourse into your thoughts.
nobody answered this question better than this Master Smile

I read a good quote by Wayne Dyer the other day about Love, and I though it was cool, so I'll share it Very Happy

"Love is the ability and willingness to allow those that you care for to be what they choose for themselves without any insistence that they satisfy you. "

As I get it "Love" is merely a word created by people to have quite a limited meaning. The definition of that word is indeed too summed-up-together, like, it should be sectioned into more words than just 1 "love", because that one word is supposed to contain a meaning that is mixed with other meanings and stuff like that. Or maybe not.

Getting to the point.

"Love" has many meanings, almost infinite meanings to start with, but in common I find the definition meaning (high)vibratory energy. Let's say the most common use that would be a relationship-based love, it could be sexual love or friendly love (or "mental attachment")... now that's one thing.
Then there is another meaning for the word "Love". It could mean the same as "God" or "Universe", as many religions would agree to. You don't have to give a special meaning to the word "Love" as I think it is just a word afterall, but describing so much in one word that is taught around this planet, so it contains some vast knowledge... well something like that...

love has several meanings, but what love is to you is your own meaning. You cannot ask someone else to tell you what love is, because your eyes, your heart and your soul can only express love the way you live for it, so the answer of what love is, lives in you.

Pure Complete True LOVE gives EVERYTHING that the Entity possesses to the beloved.

If viewed from our perspective as Human this means DEATH. If you give your beloved EVERYTHING then you can no longer REMAIN here in Space-Time you are DEAD.

If viewed form the prespective of the GOD ENTITY it does not mean DEATH of GOD or EXHAUSTION of this ENTITY. GOD can and ALWAYS DOES give EVERYTHING to the Beloved.

It means the establishment of a SON/DAUGHTER of GOD.

YOU and GOD are ONE.

GOD gives YOU EVERYTHING.

YOU become GOD, but GOD is still there. GOD did not die in this process as a human would.

YOU and GOD are bound together in a UNIQUE ONENESS.

There is a NONDUALITY yet YOUR personality , soul and existance is still YOURS.

YOU and GOD are ONE.

To understand love, it is important to first understand that there are a variety of definitions. For example, in the Greek language the word love is defined into 4 words: Agape, Eros, Philia, and Storge. Each one varies, depending on what object we are correlating our sensation of love to. It is important to understand that ultimately it comes down to two situations: conditional love, and unconditional love.
When we consider the idea of a "God/Alah/Buddah/Higher Power/etc" type love, we can feel the unconditionality of it, much like that of a parent and his/her child. This type of love, where the sense of unconditionality overcomes our entity, is nurturing, healing and progressive. However, often we get caught up in the conditionalities of life, where we feel that life is owing something, or many things, to us. With this, we tend to set conditions on objects (person, place, thing) in order to give our "love" to them, which is a selfishness, often happening out of habit and unconciously. When we live this way, we hold objects outside of our love, leading to deterioration of the relationships between all things, humanity, the earth, and the greater picture which some call "God.” We live in a much greater system than solely that of our individuality. We are owed nothing. Life is a gift, and have the natural desire to resonate this gratitude from our inner selves outward into our environment (our relationship to all objects). If something as simple as the feeling of unconditional loves vibration brings progression, then essentially that is all we need to move forward progressively.
I do not think we made up the idea of love, meaning that I do not think it is outside of our nature. However, it could be that we discovered it somewhere along our evolution, as we make personal discoveries all the time throughout our process of growth and development. Here, it is vitally important to understand our responsibility of Will through every choice. Do we Will to choose unconditional love or not? Are we choosing for the short term or long term, the individual or the collective life? These individual choices make up the collective choice.
Living with love in our lives makes life beautiful. We see things from a perspective of deeper purpose and understanding, we experience through all senses with more vibrancy. This is a choice that we must all make, and take responsibility for. Belief is also a choice.

Hope this helps:)

Very good.......reads like poetry.

We are saying the same things.

It seems EVIDENT now that the "limitations" mortal humans place on THEIR LOVING ANOTHER do not exist.

In otherwords we can LOVE TOTALLY like GOD LOVES and we will not be immulated in and by our preceived MORTALITY

One can GIVE EVERYTHING (including her life) to and for the beloved AND WILL NOT DIE.

I am CERTAIN OF THIS.......someday I will prove it.

Yes, I can see what you mean by "one can give everything to the beloved and will not die." Proof can already be witnessed now, everywhere, within and around everthing. All that comes before now is like building blocks, the foundation of now. Those who have lived before us, and those who live now, who have embarked on quests of progression, paving their paths toward a higher purpose, woven with the "light" of unconditional love. The beauty and unconditional love that is present in our lives is both due to those who have dreamed and willed it to be, and to those who can now perceive it to be.

This foundation which was set by life before now is immortal, as no action can erase it from existence. And the life now continues to mould our foundation for tomorrow, which also becomes immortal. What is done cannot be removed, and will continue to have an effect on all future life (starting a moment from now and so on).

Because of our cability of responsibility, we may not be able to erase or re-mould certain building blocks, but we can re-shape our perception to illuminate the consequence, by choosing to not carry forward certain energies that we do not feel are progressive. Healing.

Whether or not there is a life after physical death, we can participate in the progressive continuance of life on earth. This is a beautiful responsibility. We can choose to hold onto a belief that certain events shall occur after life on earth, however we must all peacefully come to terms with our individual and collective certainties and uncertainties. Are we stable and enduring enough to know the difference? Yes we are when our common vision is not of conditional love to gain life or a reward after death, but when it is of the unconditional love for the life we live now, the life on earth of all living things, past, present, future.

THIS IS WHAT THE MAYAN CALANDER POINTS TO.

Healing. A VERY GOOD POINT.....IT IS SORT OF A WAY TO GET RID OF so called ORIGINAL SIN AND ANY OTHER ACTUAL SIN.

Whether or not there is a life after physical death, we can participate in the progressive continuance of life on earth. This is a beautiful responsibility. We can choose to hold onto a belief that certain events shall occur after life on earth, however we must all peacefully come to terms with our individual and collective certainties and uncertainties
YOU HAVE SAID IT.........WE JUDGE OURSELVES.......THERE COULD BE NO MORE harsh JUDGE OF MY LIFE THAN myself. iT IS NOT GOD'S FORGIVNESS WE SEEK IT IS our own forgivness of ourselves.

Are we stable and enduring enough to know the difference? Yes we are when our common vision is not of conditional love to gain life or a reward after death, but when it is of the unconditional love for the life we live now, the life on earth of all living things, past, present, future.

You are a PLEASURE TO READ.

The Nature of Love - is unconditional and accepting, and that to truly love somebody, one must accept the things that they don't like about that person as well as the things that they do.

One must love with all their heart without reservation and to gain a sense of balance within the relationship between loving each other and loving yourself.

If you can be yourself within the relationship without having to be careful about what you do for fear of being judged, that is love fullfilled.

The Power of Love - It is said that the power of love can overcome all obstacles, but how should you love, and in what way?

There are many forms of love from sympathy to selfless. You could even say that someone who loves selflessly is not loving the self, therefore, doing oneself harm.

The way to love is one that provides balance and stability for the greatest number of people for the longest time, including YOU. That is the way to love.

The Perception of Love - Love is the greatest force, and yet the perception of it can easily be shattered by one wrong action, for love cannot allow any negativity to stain the purity of it’s true nature.

The Journey of the Heart - Some things are meant to be. The journey of the heart is one that sustains you, and yet it seems like the end of the world when bestowed with grief.

However, for every end there is a new beginning, and when in the state of waiting for the next journey to begin, it is fascinating to look at all the close encounters or near misses that we could have chosen to take the road on.

Direction is led by the heart, it is only our head that gets in the way. Always follow your heart as it is the centre of your being. Whatever road you choose, whatever direction you take, the road never ends as you are limitless being. A film that never ends with sequel after sequel.

So who is being a drama queen? Where is the drama? Do you need drama? Simply be at peace with the knowledge that you are the script writer, the director and the editor who chooses what bits to remember and what bits to cut out. You are the master of your life.

Manifesting your heart’s desires - is a process of
• faith and assurance within yourself,
• being flexible,
• and following your heart.

At any point in time, we are all experiencing the consequences of other people’s actions, your own actions and the energy of how all these connect.

So imagine yourself as being in oneness with the flow of creation which is happening all around you constantly. Trust the messages and hunches that you wake up with in the morning or that pass through your mind when you are day dreaming or doing a routine activity.

Don’t let them go... catch them first, process them in to your awareness, then release them also. For when we release them back out to float, we are surrendering to the flow of the sea and trusting the flow to take us to where we need to be... wherever that is?

Eternal Love - There is no love greater than eternal love...divine acquiescence, a bottomless pool of endless possibilities travelling through time. With each incarnation we learn the results of our actions in our lives, making us wiser than we know when we're incarnated. We are all wiser and deeper than we know because in spirit we have the memory of all the incarnations that we have lived put together making us whole. Incarnated, we can only draw on the experiences of our current lifetime, apart from the ones that 'choose' to remember.

Life is full of choices. The branch of each road leading to another endless number of possible outcomes. The results of which we create with our free will. There is destiny, yes, but only if our free will permits that destiny to take place. Our free will is always in charge, otherwise how can we learn from our mistakes if we're not allowed to make them? Your life is being planned all the time, the planning that takes place as part of your soul group. You, the incarnated, are just as an important part of your soul group as any of it's spiritual members.

The freedom to make mistakes is such an important part of love, so is the ability to forgive them also. So, walk your path with love for we are all one.
