Has anybody here read 'Book of Old Ones' by Scorpio...published by Finbarr. Can you talk about your experiences with any of the rituals, mini-rituals, any successes...or what you think about the book.

I've seen some places online where a lot of people say it's untrue, based on fiction from H.P.Lovecraft and all that...but I think it's valid and powerful magic. Who knows anything about this book and it's instruction?

I read the book, thought it had too much filler of readers 'succes' stories. I would suggest reading the 'psuedonomicon' for working with those kinds of entities/energies.

Are we talking about Crowley's book "Necronomicon?"

Most of the rituals are pure fiction, actually I'd assume all of them are pure fiction.

Crowley was like that though. He didn't write books for beginners, and in most of his books there were booby traps scattered for beginners (such as them trying to do one of the listed rituals.)

At best they won't do anything. At worse you'll actually invoke something and its wraith will come down on you like a ton of bricks.

If you want to gain anything from the book, what I'd recommend is to hold it between the palms of your hands, and use your energy to experience the energy inside of the words of the book.

Though a note of caution, like all of the elders Crowley is still around in energetic form, and he isn't someone most people would like to meet. He can be very dangerous/destructive.
