p/s - what is relevant here is I think Joseph Murphy's teaching in "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" that whatever the subconscious mind accepts as true or has been impressed upon it, must manifest as true in the external objective world.

You've got it  Bob Proctor has two favorite books, Think And Grow Rich by Napolean Hill and Joseph Murray's book, that you quoted. They both talk about autosuggestion (though not too blatantly in Murray's book). The principles were popularized by Emile Coue. You'll undoubtedly recognize the words "Everyday, in every way, I am getting better, better and better". It was Dr. Coue that brought us that phrase.
"It works!" also quotes Dr. Coue.
If you look closely, most forms of magick use this principle to impress on the subconscious mind that which is desired.
