One of the key kernels of Seth's message is that we create our own reality through our thoughts, feelings, preocupations, etc. I have certainly found this to be true, although bringing this about in a practical way in one's life takes considerable powers of visalization/concentration.
As one example, earlier this year in the spring time, I developed a strange, chafing rash on my inner forearm. I thought it would go away on its own, but by mid-June it was still there. Although I was never really worried about it being something serious, it was a bit bothersome to me, so I decided to experiment. I remembered reading something in "Seth Speaks:" the entity says that indeed we can alter our own reality, but there are certain ways that are significantly more effective than others. Seth advises that instead of "willing" something to happen, one should visualize it happening or having happened. So, I began to spend about twenty minutes per day laying on my bed in meditation, keeping in my mind a picture of my inner forearm looking smooth and white with no rash in evidence. This type of visualization was harder than I thought it would be but I managed to hold the image in my head for a few minutes at a time. When I started to hold the image, I could feel the area on my forearm begin to tingle slightly, and the clearer the image was in my mind and the more I was able to concentrate solely on the image, the more tingling sensations I could feel physically in my forearm. Also, throughout the day I would conjure the image, just while driving down the street and doing mundane tasks. Sure enough, after about day two, the rash began to fade and within a week and a half it was completely gone.
This is just one recent example of many that I could share about the way the mind can effect one's constitution and one's circumstances. The Seth material--and so many other sources from ancient history to the present--makes explicit that we have tremendous power over ourselves and our environment. We can call it creative visualization, intense prayer, quantum mechanics, etc. but to my mind it is all essentially the same thing: namely that what we turn our attention to fully--if at all tenable--tends to manifest.
Hope this has helped

| Tourmaline, this is very helpful. Btw, do you mind if I copy your remark and put it in my science thread on this forum? I'm trying to create a database of scientific material on psi, so if you come across anything quantum mechanics wise or any other science part, if you would like please post it there. Thanks. |

Thank you rapier, I have been staring at the bookshelf next to our sofa for days now and I couldnt work out why (doh!).
I have owned the "nature of personal reality" for years, I used to use it as a reference book (let it fall open at a page and it always told me what I wanted to know) and I haven't really used it for years.
Now I realise that I am probably being told to start re-using the book to help my development.
I always found it extreamly helpful in 'life' but this will be the first time I will be reviewing it since following my psycic path.
Thanks again, I will post again when I have some stories to tell.
Hugs to all
Love

| I found what I consider a genuine Seth Temple in cyberspace. The internet site was very informative. I could "feel" an entity or the web master scan me. From what I remember Seti's do not worship a god of any imagery or 'god" for that matter. They worship consciousness, and offer techniques for developing one's full potential as a divine being. Even the lord Jesus said to the crowd once,"Know ye not that ye are gods"? Never the less, I am middle age and jaded. The candidates they seek are young professional types who are not jaded or set in thier ways. I think thier fee is $2,000.00 USD per year. I believe the study is worth it. I sensed the group consiousness whilst I cruised the website. I have long since lost the internet addy. But I believe if you truly wish you will cruise there. If you are young and free of false paradigms of political, religiousity and seudo psychology and truly wish to "plunge" into your unkown, well then go for it~Randy |
