I have often wondered the same thing. Are there really different energy types?

Well, don't waste your breath (or fingers as it were). You won't get an answer to the question here. I simply asked because I see a lot of not-so-commonly used terms being thrown around here, and was seeking some clairification on the verbage. But this place is pretty dead...I don't think I'll be coming around too much longer.

First off, how can you expect an answer when your topic is called "dumb question"? Not many people on these boards are willing to answer everybody's questions all the time, and then when you already know its dumb... why should we even read it.

Second: Google.

Uh, huh. I see you point, but by "dumb question" I was merely attempting to recognize the fact that it may be a common question. It was an attempt at humility. Really not my fortay, I guess I should avoid it in the future. Second, Google won't tell me about the verbage being used specifically by members of this forum. I have heard some of these terms before, but in metaphysics, as in many areas, vocabulary and usage tends to differ from group to group. But, no worriies. If there were and edit or delete button available, I'd gladly use it. I have decided that I care not to learn the specific usage of terms here. I will simply use my own terminology, and hope others can keep up.

Thanks, though. I do appreciate the feedback.

I'm just talking about boards in general...

Read through as much information as you can (and you'll learn what people use and how they talk), and try to ask a more specific question.

The question you asked is a really big one, and involves ALOT of typing...

Try narrowing it down, and finding out more through conversation, or find a conversation that already exists and ask a few questions about that...

Very Happy

Good luck!

Different energy types? This question is kind of vague and varies on what you're talking about.

If we're talking about Chinese Philosophy then I would tell you there's Qi (Life Energy), Lin (Brute Strength), Jing (essence, strength-force, hard to define), etc....

If we're talking about Indian Philosophy then I would tell you prana (vital force) , akasha (ether), mahat-tattva (force that physical matter emanates from), etc...

Then if we're talking about Orgone, Wilhelm Reich I would tell you Orgone, Deadly Orgone, which are like polarities

If were talking about physics, there would be kinetic, potential, zero-point, vaccum, etc...

But as far as I know there is really only one type of energy, all of energies are simply manifestations of the same energy.

But as for your question I don't really know what you mean by different energy types, the question is too vague

I thought we already had the discussion of orgone vs tachyon and all that... I just figured you would be coming across it, or that someone else here would have directed you to it.

There are some mismatched ideas, as there are different "camps" who say different energies "feel" this way, or are scientifically known to be this way or that...

I remember typing up all of my particular feelings on them, and then others posting about how they thought differently. This question keeps coming up, like you said, it is common.

Go back to the beginning of the free energy thread and read through, as I believe your questions will be answered there.

There is sooooo much information to be had about tachyon and orgone, please do a search on http://www.google.com or http://www.dogpile.com
for them.

Beyond the bookwork, the energies are sensed similar to how we perceive colors. They are vibrations on a scale, where each person will have slight variations based on their own abilities to sense.

I am a "feeling" type. I feel orgone as earthy, like mother nature, like laying on a blanket in the middle of a field, and I feel tachyon as light, fluid, and refreshing, like a big glass of sweet tea on a hot day.

(btw, I feel reiki as a gentle, tickling breeze, like a dragonfly landing on my knee, it makes me giggle)

I think they make a wonderful combo!

Energy types are defined by their usage, not their constitution, since energy is... energy. Smile

Electricity, energy in the shape of electrons moving in a conductive material.

Chi, bio-electric energy available in the body that flows according to intention (thought and willpower).

Jing, chi (above) that densifies in order to create an electro-magnetic interaction with physical matter. It recharges the batteries when you're tired, and help in healing processes.

Shen, chi (above) sublimed to a higher vibration rate and interact with the mind and inner self... and consciousness...

Energy remains energy.
