| Should playing cards work for finding broad answers? Perhaps even few specific ones? |

| My friend knows of a way to tell the future with normal playing cards.. but he hasn't taught me yet... so yes you can do it... how... i don't know yet. I'd buy a tarot deck anyway. |

Only use tarot if you are comfortable with it or that will play into your reading.
I'm not sure how you use normal playing cards. |

| My friend says that tarot cards and playing cards are the same thing. He is also currently glued his eyes to the tv so I'll have to learn more and come back and tell you about it later. |

They are, they both use your abilities of clairvoyance and works by you feeling what card to pick. What makes it work is what you asign the meaning for each card.your subcoincous is tapped into a never ending ocean of information of the past present and future, and you put your hands over the cards to feel what ever one your subconcious is leading you to, and then when you have it set up you look at what it is defined as wheither it was what you have defined or a book you bought that came with the tarot cards. Wheither its tarot or playing, you should charge them with your own energy, as to keep negative energy from misleading you. |

| So, if I have my own method, it should still work? |

Depends what you mean. You can asign the card meanings to what ever, the only important details to it is sensing what card, you may use what ever method you wish. |

| Playing cards can work just fine as long as you're comfortable with it. I don't remember the associations for the cards (if they're different from the minor arcana of tarot) but there's also a method of asking yes/no questions with them, or tarot. |

| Would you happen to be able to explain the yes/no thing? How to do it? |

Prep yourself as you normally would. Get your question in mind, keeping it to a yes/no question. Be careful to be very precise about it; I've learned that the answer end up opposite what I asked because of too-vague ideas. You don't necessarily have to word it exactly, although that would help, make sure you get exactly what you mean visualised, the essence of it, the idea clear in your mind.
Shuffle the cards keeping this question in mind, cut however many times you feel and reassemble. Deal out from the top into three piles. Count out 13 or until you reach an ace and move to the next pile. By the end of the three piles, the number of aces on top indicates the answer. More aces means that the question is more likely to be a yes. I say more likely because, particularly with future questions, choices can change that outcome. If it is a question about time, an ace in the first pile indicates it's sooner and later for the other two, the third being far in the future.
It took a while to explain it but it's really quite simple. Like tarot, once you get used to the protocol of it, it becomes quite fluid. Also like with tarot, it's best not to ask the same question twice within a day. Did that explanation make sense? It's late an my brain is fogging over some. |

| I'm a little confused. So should I be dealing all of the cards, face down, and counting the number of Aces in each pile? Or should I be counting face up? Face down seems to make more sense, but I've never done that style, so I could be wrong. |

Wow.
I just did a few trials with that yes/no style.
Every answer-- Spot on. I 'asked' questions that I already knew the answers to. Every one was CORRECT.
This is amazing. |

Heh, that's great to hear. I deal them face up and move to the next pile as soon as I see an ace. If you're doing something different but it works for you then stick with it! |

| So, i've been pretty safe, asking very tame questions that I know. Is this method good for pretty much all 'yes or no's? |
