Apparently using the sound AHHHH projects your manifestation into the universe and OMMMMM releases it. They also recommend having empty intestines.

Would be interesting to see how well this technique works.

Those souonds are good base ones for getting things going. Om and ah, amongst other sounds, help with regulating internal energy/chemicals/hormones/etc.It's like any other theurgic practice, like candle work, poppets, writing what you want on a piece of paper and burning the paper, the wishing machine. There's an entire branch of science that deal with sound called sonochemistry.

I'd love to know more about that. I have a linguistics background (although I studied it years ago and I'm a bit rusty) so sonochemistry would be like the next step in deepening my understanding of sounds. Thanks for letting me know about it, I'll do some google searching when I get time.

I'm pretty much a beginner with all this, I did find that a candle intention I did once worked amazingly. That's going from "manifestation" to "magick" really but it could be that having that extra something to focus on is what works for me.

It seems to be all about finding that combination of techniques that works for you personally, would you say that's correct?

That's the way it is, but something you need to understand. Manifestation is magick and magick is manifestation. It's a 'a distinction without a difference' scenario. 2 words that mean the same thing. In some instances, a single object can help focus intent/will.

Wayne Dwyer talks about using the aum sound to channel your manifestations from your root chakra to your third eye in order to clear you channel for the creation.

I've tried makig these sounds and I've had some success with them.

Anyone else try them? How did you use them and why?

I actually find that ahhh seems to clear a channel for me, possibly third eye related, and that om pushes the energy upwards.
