Do other people's negative thoughts and words have an effect on your manifestations and what you want to achieve? For example - if I want to heal myself of the flu with healing/metaphysical techniques but someone else is telling me I will be really sick for the next two weeks... will their thoughts and words slow down or prevent my healing? Or if I want to manifest a pay rise but someone is telling me that my boss will never do it. |

| That depends on your thoughts and the strength of your will. Some peoples' will can overpower anothers, so it comes down to how focused you can be and how strong you can think/feel something. Even when you haven't had much practice at such things, you can help offset at least a little of your symptoms by thinking you aren't sick, that you're well. The 'it must be a positive affirmation only' will be valid only if you think it will be. Negative word use, like 'I'm not sick' work just as well. At a certain skill level, the negative or positive version will work equally. A neutral form may be better in some instances, too. |

Yep, gotcha. That's good to know. I actually find that "I'm not sick" works better than "I am well" or "I am healthy" for example. I've been doing that and have improved a lot today!
So it really comes down to your own willpower and belief, rather than a matter of other people's negativity somehow getting in there and sabotaging what you've initiated whether you like it or not... it's completely up to you?
Thanks! |

Some view it as such, but situations can be broken down into a number of parts that are contest against each other. First is the comparison of the strength of wills, if the one being 'attacked' (for lack of a better word) does or does not get some insight that helps them increase their will/focus of intent, what is the incoming energy, does it have any specific qualities that are tricky to overcome because it's an unusual form of energy, has the incoming energy been charged with the task of doing something specific that is designed to get around the defenses already put up, etc.
Given that there are literally an infinte number of ways to defeat a problem, sometimes, a number of specific defenses are preferable, but there are times when a general, all pupose 'redirection of all negativity' type of defense is best, especially if you were attacked by like 10,000 different ways. On the conscious mind, it's often easier to think of using just the general, all purpose defense. |

Ok, yep. See what you mean.
At the moment, something I've noticed (in fact I came to this conclusion last night) is that there is one influential person who for some reason is VERY GOOD at (albeit unintentionally) planting huge seeds of doubt in my mind. So I would need to be able to repel that negativity. |

Hey BlackCat,
You should realize that you manifest EVERY experience, including even me writing this. You are the one behind reality, because each of us exist in our own personal reality. Therefore if someone tells you will be really sick, you unintentionally manifested it by the energy within you...everything you experienced in the past, experience in the present, and experience in the future you manifest by the energy instilled within you....
So remember no one can stop you, because you are fully behind all of your experiences, you are like God, this is your personal reality, your playground... |

Other peoples thoughts only have an effect on you if you let them. If you believe and accept what they say is true then it is true. If you just agree to someones face about what they are saying, but in your head you think yeah right this fool doesn't know what he's talking about, then you just throw their negative BS out of your head/ear... In one ear and out the other. |
