Hi there, Libra68. I hope you can help me with this, as I'm really searching for answers. For months I've been struggling with an injury, slowly recovering (all progress is good progress!), and exploring different ways of healing etc. One thing I've come across in my research is the metaphysical causes of illness and injury, which may play some part, but the answer I'm really looking for is related to this:
My current injury (shoulder) seems to have badly aggravated an old symptom in the same part of my body (shoulder nerve pain and aching down to the wrist), which has been recurring since my childhood. I'm wondering if that symptom is due to something I was born with, or did it develop due to an injury when I was young that I don't know about? eg did I fall over and do it, did someone else injure me, etc. The doctor never found an answer for it when I was young, and now that it's recurred so badly I would like to know how the original problem occured. I've been having some thoughts about it, going over possibilities, and I'm prepared to hear whatever it is.
Also, I'm confused about what road my healing should take - is there anything (alongside conventional physiotherapy) that would be best for me?
Thanks!

I knew it was your shoulder the second i read your topic. You took a tumble when you were an infant. Nobody helped-it was an accident: since you seemed fine mom did not seem to think a dr was needed.
Why does it come back? Stress is one factor and a pinch nerve is the other. I can help with the stress-my ALWAYS reccomendations:
1)clense your body: drink more water-you tried this and stopped. Milk, and teas are nice but too much can clogg your innerself. Water is a natural cleanser that keeps everything flowing.
2) Lavenders. I have Lavender tea lights that let off a scent when I light them. This helps calm my entire environment dog, cats, children and I. Lavender Washes are nice and relaxing too. Laveneder baths help sooth for a nice sleep.
3) Classical Music. Everyone has their own intrament tune that soothes them. For me it is the piano, my daughter is the flute or clarinet, my son would be a tuba (bleive it or not) and the piano. Mozart is my favorite ofr this
4) I do recomend 1 or 2 cups of cammamile tea. This helps to sooth and makes it easy to meditate.
5) you got it--meditate. calm yourself to a point where you feel light as a feather-tell yourself over and over i am as light as a feather and you will feel light as a feather. Think of the areas that are distracting to you and your answers will be found. This helps with a better sleep too.
for the pinch nerve- you will not only need a dr to help you but a NEW dr. The one you have now is out of answers there are things that have not been done to find this. I do NOt have a name of a dr for you but i can tell you a close friend of yours does. This friend is female and has a similar issue you have BUT you have not discussed the issue with eachother so no one knows what the other is dealing with. Good Luck!! |

Thanks so much for this, Libra68! I can confirm it does come back worse at times of stress, not too long ago I was stressed and a pain shot down from my shoulder to my thumb - again, the doctor could not explain this. But now I know and I'm sure about the pinched nerve - thanks so much for confirming this. I go to the physiotherapist tomorrow and I'll mention to him that I think it's a pinched nerve - but I think he may already be thinking this after the last time I went and I mentioned my shoulder. I feel like he's very good with me and hopefully he'll be a part of fixing my problem!
Thanks so much for the stress suggestions, I'll especially get some chamomile tea and start drinking that. I've been thinking about getting reiki attuned so that I could self-heal but not sure yet if it's 100% right for me or if the time is right, but I will ask you about that the next time I can get a reading!
Thank you again! |

| I also want to add that you're doing a wonderful job at helping so many people. I wish I could help people too when they're out of answers. Thank you again! |

I want to answer this now since I have the answer for you now:
Reiki will help you as far as making you feel more relaxed.
Self heeling will happen as soon as some stress factors disappear-they disappear by the New Year 2008. You will start feeling better and more calm. HOWEVER you must start now with the information I sent you. The Meditating will help you big time and so will getting attention for that pinch nerve. |

Thank you!
My physiotherapist booked me in for a treatment next week with the osteopath who he says will take the pressure off the nerve. I hope this is the right thing! |
