My question is,
Sigils and thoughtforms seem to often get grouped together -
which one is more suitable for which situations/goals?

Hmmm.. I use sigils for both short and long term stuff..

Thoughtforms I use when empowering larger scale operations..also shorter ones.

You're right they seem to often get grouped together..but thoughtforms seem to gain a life of their own after a while..which seems to be more powerful..the essence of the thoughtform becomes alive...bringing good results..

They both seem to be very effective.

I've always had better success with thoughtforms / servitors than sigils, but it might not be the same for everybody. I think the problem with me is that I've always had trouble "setting off" sigils so they hardly work no matter what I use them for. Just remember though, if you use thoughtforms / servitors, you must be responsible and keep up with them. If you don't want to keep up with them then sigils are your best bet, since it's ok to forget about them.

Hi thanks for your replies
What could go wrong if you created a thoughtform then left it and didn't keep up with it?
Also what are the practical limits of what you could do with thoughtforms/servitors for example could a servitor initiate you with an esoteric energy if you created it properly?
