Getting stick pad to work

I recently built the radio transmitter design of Uncle Chuckie. I hooked up everything exactly like he said, but for some reason when I'm trying to tune it to my target, I can't feel the "stick" from the stick pad. I feel absolutely nothing. Anyone have any Ideas?

If you used a simple radio-intact version, I would suggest you keep rubbing while moving the dial at a steady rate. If you don't get a stick, keep rubbing while moving the dial the other way. Just keep rubbing until you get a stick.

Try de pendulum if you able to work with.

To use a pendulum, go here: http://www.mysticalwonders.org/group/viewtopic.php?t=225&highlight=pendulum+minicourse. It's how I learned to dowse. BTW, a lot of people ask me what to use for a pendulum. You can use any object hanging from a string, chain, etc. as long as it can swing. I use a cheap little necklace with one end of the chain unhooked. Very Happy

There is a lot of book about that. But it's not easy. You have to practice for good results.
