i am a pryo, and i know little about cyro. i would eventually like to learn all of the kinesis, but i cant find much on cyro. so if anyone has any info, could you please post it?

It's the same as pyro, but you slow down molecules rather than speeding them up.

Another way of looking at it is that pyro is adding energy, while cryo is removing energy. They work the same way, and I usually practice both at the same time, i.e. make an object hot and then cold.

wow, i didnt think that it would be that easy to convert from one to another. thanks ill have to try both of them.

Keep in mind, pyro is adding energy, so if you are good at pyro, it could be that you have lots of energy. Cryo is absorbing energy, so be careful not to overload!!!

oh, i never thought of that. so far i have no progress. i guess its harder to learn new stuff. ive tried to take very cold water with ice in it already and i just melt the ice. lol. if i would try any harder i think i would boil the water. i think that im so connected to pyro that i automatically add energy. but im only 17 so i have time to learn new stuff.

You probably won't get such dramatic results that quickly. Try taking a regular thermometer (digitals work better for this) and just lower it. Before trying, leave it still for a few minutes so it can adjust. If you can change it an entire degree, you can be sure that it was you. Obviously, don't physically touch it. Good luck.

ok... ill try that. but am i exactly trying to change the act. temp. or just trick the thermometer?

You are trying to change the actual temperature around the thermometer.

The reason i advise a digital when starting off is because the drops in temperature may only be a few tenths of a degree. With a regular thermometer, it is much harder to notice a slight change without diverting focuse away from the task itself.

i used a digital and i dropped the temp. about half a degree. then when i use pyro it jumps about 10 in a matter of 20 sec. is that normal?

It's completely normal. Some people naturally pour out large amounts of energy, while some subconsciously absorb it. Also, if you are a more excitable person, you mauy find it much easier to speed up molecules, and have trouble slowing them down.

icic, well ive been reading about the dangers of pyrokinesis and it says that if u can produce energy very quickly then there is a very good possibility that you can catch things on fire by accident, mainly people if they were to make you angry or frustrated. and im a 17 high school junior and you have to know that when your in high school someone is going to piss you off eventually. and ive been working on controling it by raising the temp. as quickly as i can and then trying to absorb it even faster. that is one of my main purposes of wanting to learn cyro. its sort of a precaution. and what if i were to lose control by accident? what if for some reason i catch someone of fire and injure them badily? can i be arrested or anything like that? because ive been thinking, the goverment does not accept any kind of kinesis or anything like that. so could they send me to prison for doing that, and there wouldnt be proof of me act. catching them on fire. i dont know what would come of something like that. any ideas?

I'm a freshman, and I've had a few kinesis incidents myself. Luckily, one of the kids in my class is really into this stuff, and helps me keep it in check. The best thing you can do if you actually cause someone harm using pyrokinesis, is distance yourself a little, but don't run away. If you are not carrying anything capable of creating a flame, then there is no proof that you did anything. The government did have some tests a while back regarding telepathy, empathy, and psychokinesis. I'm pretty sure that telepathy and empathy were proved to exist, while psychokinses was inconclusive. This means that they can't actually sentence you to anything, but may request some tests if whoever you lit on fire decides to take it to court (which would be hilarious). There are plenty of easy ways to avoid these accidents though. If you are good with shielding and constructs, you could program it to block out any attempts at pyrokinesis. As in most emotional situations, the best thing you can do is just talk to someone about them. Or just find a more subtle way to hurt people you don't like ^^
