The reason why the number,"8", is such a magical number, is that it's representative of man, being on this earth for 8,000 years.. At the end of 8,000 years, which is pretty much, right here and now, we will all be going into a magical time, where everybody will be a multi-millionaire, no one will get sick, all illness will vanish, there will be no crime, hatred, etc.,

All will be peaceful, for all eternity.

Though it's not the right way to use the number "8", still it works as a reminder, that this new age of enlightenment, is almost upon us. The magik of it, resides, in this fact and pretty much, nothing else.

I don't know where you're getting your 8,000 year figure from. Humans have been around for a couple million years. The Universe is diverse and wide, and it's not all about us. We're just one species on one lonely speck of dirt floating among billions of stars in one of billions of galaxies. Whether or not humans live or die isn't going to be that important in the grand scheme of things.

As to 8 being a magical number - I don't see why it should be any more magical than any other number. 329891823598.1981234135078 is as good as 8. 8 is simple, it's easy to draw, you don't have to count very high to get to it, but if there is any magic to the concept of numbers, then it doesn't make sense that among the infinite numbers that a few here or there would stand out. Remember - numbers are something people made up.

You're entitled to whatever beliefs you have, though, even if I think they're crazy.

well nos and magick is not new..
there have always been the numbering system in the universe, and we have only discovered them.
i am not such an expert on magick and the significance of nos to it, hence cant talk much on magick per se.

but yea, i disregard the a few ideas that 8 is the most magical no.
if there is, i look at 15 as more magical..
i look at 666, doing more harm..
i see the system of "3" believed by magick practitioners as having more magick significance..
no. 9 being more magical in its own nature of virtue of endless repetitions,!

i wonder from where 8 comes into being a magical number.. Shocked

8000 years humans have been on earth is total quackery.

I do not know about the meaning of numbers much, but to me, the number 8, stands for infinity. Or a consept of unlimited possibilities. It should be seen in the shape of the number -> infinite / unlimited. This is not something I usually would think about but yes, I think it's a sacred geometric shape and has some kind of meaning...

"8" is magical, because it represents the end of this age, which is now approaching 8,000 years and leads into the coming age.

Try taking a pendulum and dowsing for how long humans have been on the earth.

Take one example of pre-historic people..bone/skeleton remains date to more than 120,000 years ago in Africa...and that is only ONE scientific example..

check your facts and your beliefs..

Hmm... The only thing I know in regards to the number is 8 is that it signifies abundance and/or money.

I saw this page one time, wherein they advised to write down the number "8" on a piece of paper and just put it inside your wallet. Don't know if it works, but it may be worth a try.

I also remember this "wishing" site where they say they use the power of the number 8 and within 8 days your wishes would be fulfilled. It also includes the power of the moon, and some synchronicities with the number 11:11

That wishing site you are talking about felt negative to me and some other people emailed me about feeling the same way about it.

The sound of number 8 in chinese is very near to the sound of the rich word.
8-rich
28-easy to get rich
1128-easy to get rich everyday
All are just the relation to the sound of chinese word,thus chinese people like their car with this number and they are expensive too.
However,they would dying to avoid the number 4,which its sound obviously signifying die in the chinese word.

I'll give out what I think about single digits (numbers) and their significance, but understand that this is just my version of viewing things, it might not be true at all, but here we go:
1 = the power of one, the absolute, the truth, true, Thus is, it is I.
2 = couple, growth, serpent, plan.
3 = creation, thought manifesting on the 3rd plane into reality.
4 = fun, 44 = living a lesson for enjoying physical life, a magnum caliber.
5 = neutral of the everything. Balance yet chaos.
6 = sexual love, hatred, closure, meaning found by sex or true love.
7 = luck, seven, perfected plan succeeding, the best number of all single ones.
8 = infinite / limitless, never outrun, always have abundance in everything that is absolute and you will never run out of whatever it could mean or be.
9 = maximum, best, highest, of most value, extreme of whatever.
0 = everything is possible. the void meaning of worlds and the universe. Close to god, everything is within your control, omnipotence, "elohim", being one with self.

So that covers my version of single digits.. anyone else have an opinion about these? I remind you again that I may be mortally wrong...
