mostly I see the candles with reiki as a way of just visualizing. When I say that I basically mean that you subconconcously tell yourself "so long as that candle burns they'll be getting my energy". Though this is very effective from my personal experience I've noticed that visualizations like that can only be taken so far. Although they help you with the inital boost of energy, imagine if you didn't have your energy set so it only was directed there until the candle burned out. It would be help more to just let it have a more constant flow until whatever your trying to heal is healed to as best as you can.

To add to the tree reiki I like the sound of that I do something similar which like angel said is just grounding. Smile

May I ask what process you use to charge the candles? Have you tried to attune the candles? The attunement can make the candle a font of reiki energy whenever it is lit. Also, try to add quartz powder to the wax, but before you add it, attune the crystal powder too Wink

I would go talk to that freaking church is what i would do!!!! Why do christians act like the earth is here for humans to use up and build over. As if they shouldnt respect the earth in any way. My 9th grade christian english teacher even said, "The earth is here for our use", and that treehuggers are dumb! What the heck! Stupid tree cutting hooligans!!!!(not just christians!)

Hi,

I am a Reiki Master also my name is Shawnodese. I have been practicing Reiki and healing work for over 20 years now.

I would start by saying that you can do no harm with working with Reiki energy. Reiki is designed to find its way to its intended and only do good. Reiki energy can never harm, regardless of the intention. So if it is true Reiki energy you are projecting then you can harm none.

That being said... I too use not only candles but crystals and some times special objects for Reiki healing work both in person and distant. I not only give helaings I also teach Reiki so I have many ways in which I use both candles and crystals.

For healing work I use the crystals to create points of focus. Typically you scan the body of the person you will be healing and then Reiki energy will tell you during the scan what areas you are to focus on. Once you know that you can, with permission, place crystals on her person body... or if you do not have permission... place crystals near the areas. I recommend quartz crystal as it is a wonderful crystal to use during healing work as it can crystalize a thought form and work for you while you work on other areas. This is particularly helpful with people you are treating with disease.

For students I use the same few crystals through out the teachings and especially during attunements so that the crystals absorb the same teachigns and knowledge and can act on the same level as the student. An Attuned crystal is very powerful and typically the student will use this crystal throughout all thier healings, attunements and eventually once they are a master ...they will use it as a teacher too.

As for the candles ... you can Reiki a specific candle and attune it to a certain person for any healing in person or long distance. You might pay particular attention to the color as it is significant as well. Many people will even "mark" the candle as a way of sealing it and making solitary to the perons it was intended. Some different symbols you can use are (of course Reiki symbols) Runic, wiccan, shamanistic, or any magical or even non-magical symbol that provides meaning and healing to the person the candle is intended for.

The key to Reiki is to let Reiki flow through you. You are merely the vessel that the energy works through. So keep your vessel clean and clear so Reiki can flow smoothly and clearly through you and do its best to heal others. Be sure if you are giving Reiki to others that you are self healing as well ... not only to keep yourself clear for the benefit of the Reiki Energy to flow well...but to ensure you are healing your self properly.

Thanks for sharing your information and I have tried to use a few of the things you mentioned. I was given a distant attunment to cover Reiki I, II, III. I have used it to do healings on myself and my husband and sent distant healing to a couple of friends. I am ashamed to say that I have not been doing my daily healings as I intended but I do still do self healing when I can. I am going to start doing the healings again just as I did for the first 3 months. I do feel that I have done alot of cleansing and spiritual healing in the past 6 months since the attunment. I do think that maybe I need a refresher attunment that maybe with all that has been going on and all the many health issues I am batteling I was not yet open enough to accept the full attunment at the time it was given.

Hi Trish,

I am so glad you have tried a few things I suggested. I hope they server you well. It is very common for people who have been attuned long distance to think that they need a "Re-Attunement " This is a common misconception of Reiki. The truth of Reiki is that once you have been properly attuned by another Reiki Master, you do not need to be attuned again. Some will argue that distance training is not valid, however, I personally feel it is just as valid as training in person. Energy knows no bounds so time and space are meaningless where Reiki is concerned. (This is my humble opinion only).

That being said I would say there are two things you can do. The first being to study more on the subject of Reiki. The more you study the more you will understand and incorporate Reiki into your life. The second thing I would recommend is to lay hands on everyone and anything you can. The more you practice Reiki them more comfortable you will become with your practice. I have often found that when Reiki does not seem to "flow" properly it is because my channel is blocked or unclear. The way to unblock or clear your channel is to self heal each day. Every day you will clear the channel more and more and be able to feel the Reiki flow more freely as a result of it.

Hello again and thanks for your speedy reply. I think that I know I do not need another attunment, that it was the attent of my attuner and my attent to recieve that mattered. I was just frustrated that my teenage son came in to aggervate me when I had the Reiki I, II, III. attunment and My first Reiki master made me stay calm and peace filled for an hour before the attument. Maybe that is why I felt it more? The Reiki master that I started with moved and does not have time to get on computer any more\not in the past 5 months anyway he was trying to leave his location in India. I do have access to some wonderful people online who offer many articles on Reiki. And I have read all that I have access to so far. I know that the Reiki Principles are what really get me to relax.

Well very good then... you know even without a teenager I still find it hard sometimes to find a peaceful moment to myself... so I can understand what you mean.

I think you got a close to real idea except for how much I have read. I was meaning that even though there was full intention for the attunment I was a little worried that the stress and aggervation my son invoked while torturing me about my Reiki attunment (which is what were not supposed to allow to get to us) may have stunted my awakening so to say.

Of course I need to do more hands on and fully intend to do just that.

I would love to check out your site, what is the address? Reiki4free?

No I am afraid I did not see a link but did see where you invited me to come and check things out. Sorry I started sleeping alot this weekend maybe because I did soo much Reiki. Smile

I was scraped up preatty bad by a fall by concreat stairs, it is healing and not as painful as it was.

Off to do self healing now I hope it doesn't scar, my whole upper calf was chewed up lookes like road rash. Reiki and vitamine E oil. They are healing it nicely.

concernin the candles and quartz was that clear quartz or white -- i have phobias about leavong devic imprints in the cloud cover from my crystals take a fourx magnifying glass and see what i mean -oodles of them zheesh sounds like a nice possible route around it -quartz of course has a positive charge when charged ---pariffine is a carbon product and has a negative charge zero frequency- i dont know if beeswax is considered carbon or not - im gonna try that thanks for the advice there- i think il will try one with quartz powder and one without and one only with quartz powder with white powder perhaps it would only be a subtle energy form that was unprogrammable but perhaps a comfort to recieve the ionic softness of thanks lots

reiki is not really popular in my country but i want to learn it
the concept is still vague
i have a question...can you create reiki? or does it need to transfer on you? i know from the concept of energy (science) that no energy is ever create...it is transferred...like solar to electric, i think it's a law in science...does it also apply to reiki?

Sapphire you are correct in the fact that energy is not created but is transferred. Although many people think they are creating energy in many types of Energy working techniques they are actually accessing the energy vibrations from the world(s) around them. The reason most teachers have taught that in energy work you create the energy is for to allow the student to feel more empowered via psychological phrases and theories. I personally believe this is an excellent way to teach because it helps the students self-esteem. Self-esteem is a great factor in any energy training and without it one can become confused or lost. The student will learn in time through the teacher or another source that it was actually transferring of energies rather than creating and hopefully by that time they can except it. If not I do not recommend arguing over it. It is after all simple symantics and really have no place in a theoritcal discusion(it causes too much pain for both sides). Reiki uses the universal energy or life energy(there are many names for it) the practitioner is just a tool to focus the energy into another body that can not do so for itself. I hope this will be helpful to you on your path.
