| Is there anybody here that is blind or visually impaired, and also practice Witchcraft and Paganism, or any other magicks besides me? I've been wondering about that for a while, even before I joined this forum. |

Hi Warlizard
I'm a Witch and Pagan. I've just joined so my post is late in replying. (I'm not visually impared)
Is it difficult being a Witch in Texas? I only ask because my sister used to live in Texas and from her impressions it seems a very Christian part of the world and, as they experienced life there, if you weren't connected to the Church then you seemed cut off a bit. (I'm not in the USA so my view maybe a bit limited !!)

It depends on where you live. If you live in a big city, you won't really have that problem, but if you live in a small town, then you might be bothered about your choice of paths by people.
Blessed be.

Not having visual sight must/I suppose make the workings you do very real as you are not hampered by the bombardment of the visual world around.
Working on the astral is difficult to get absolutley right as I find I have to close my eyes and shut out everything else to get it right. I can only do this with my eyes shut. Same with meditation.
How do you find it? If not being hit with visual images is the norm how do you get to the place that we sighted people maybe get to with our eyes shut?
Thanks
Blessed be |

I was taught how to get around by mobility trainers. They teach you how to listen to trafic, and determine when it's safe to cross busy streets. They teach you how to get around on the publick transportation systems, and how to utilize the people around you for directions, and help with crossing noisy intersections if you need it.
Not having vision has some advantages, but when you can hear faint noises of things, that can be vary distracting when you're in the middle of a ritual. Even though I'm not hampered by the visual world around me, I sometimes have some problems of my own that might be unusual to others. |
