| Whenever I close my eyes, I feel that my eyes are open while my eyelids are shut. Then in the darkness, several faces form. Sometimes scary images form in the darkness, that I suddenly am forced to open my eyes because I am afraid. I know it sounds silly, but is there any mystical/spiritual explanation for that? |

Hi,
Have you tried talking to the faces?
I know when I was 16/17 I used to have these sub-dreams of people getting killed in various ways, over and over again. Generally decapitations and whatnot. I know now that it was part of my primal/dark side expressing itself, but I know at first I didn't like it at all.
Sometimes the scariest things are in actuallity just figments of yourself. I know I had a good net friend of mine say she used to have this nightmare where she got killed by this young girl over and over again. And it wasn't till one night where she faced the child instead of running awa;, and hugged her. That the child was herself.
Fear usually can be broken down into. False Evidence Appearing Real. So just take a breath, and if possible embrace the faces, or at least try to communicate with them you may find a scarred version of yourself underneath them.

| somethin like that happened to me id close my eyes--kinda still dos tho dont like it usted to--id get this impression of a face i knew it was a guy i kinda thought it was my biological father--i didnt get to know my biological parents but live with aunt and uncle kinda longer hair--fer a guy--i wanna say looked like a mexican seeminly has aged in the years and one day i think im gonna see somethin to tell me hees dead tho id really like to know who he is primairly coriousity |

It's just that when I close my eyes, I am still conscious. Then, as I view the darkness that is an effect of my eyelids shut and my eyeballs (sorry for the awkward term, I dont know how to put this to words! ) still observing the darkness, several forms of scary images form. From scary to the scariest - disformed images of perhaps, evil-looking beings. I think it's just my mind playing nasty tricks on me on this, and I try to balance my mind by filtering them out but sometimes they just wont go away and provoke me more to get scared. I am still awake that time but my eyes are shut, and I'm still not dreaming then.
I haven't talked to them since they're so scary. I just filter them away using my mind...sigh. |

Ok, I'd be extremly amazed if they are evil beings playing tricks on you. Most likely they are parts of yourself. Filter them if you like, they won't go away, like any part of yourself, you can hide your head in sand as long as you like, just reaize that they will want to be recognized eventually and they will probably come to the surface some other way.
I'd really strongly recommend talking to them, asking what they want, and listening. You may be surprised what you hear. I'm not saying it will be easy, but doing it will help you come further into your own power.
This is one of those things I often to talk to people about the difficulties of being awake. You have to be an adult, and deal with things. I know some people who will force themselves to go back asleep, afraid of their own inner deamons, but I don't think you'd be on this forum talking about this, nor do I think our paths would be meeting at this time if you weren't ready to get past this.
I'll repeat myself, FEAR is merely False Evidence Appearing Real, their is nothing out there that really hurt you, if you are impowered in yourself.
For your own sake, give the faces and beings a chance to express themselves, they can be your allies instead of your enemies if you let them.

Hmmm you don't need luck. Your ready, so just do it, and know I am behind you because I know you can do it. I did it with my own primal side quite a few years ago, and belive me he is one my best allies, and one of my best friends and companions.

| contious--yea with me too tho its more like tattered aged picture of a face and ive seen it get older from when i was uyounger and first noticed it didnt think much of it now realise its somethin but un shure what it isstill im wide awake just kinda relaxed |

zygos i have to say i love your fear acronym!
everyone,
i have also seen a face when i close my eyes. it is a strange face, older man bushy hair--like an eskimo or tribal man. i see his outline kind of like reddish glowing if that makes any sense. He blinks-i mean his eyes open and close while he is looking at me, and it is very close up, as if he were inches away from my face.
Just wanted to share this with everyone don't know what it means.

Hmmm, sounds like the face of one of the council of elders. Or maybe a guide. I'd recommend doing the same thing, talk to him, hear his wisdom, and allow him to help you with your journey.
I certainly feel his energy, and its that of one who has traveled, and probably has a lot to teach you. Realize also that he may not be able to speak your language, so when you talk to him, send your thoughts, or use mind transferance, and then be ready to receive words or thoughts back.

thank you for the post.
I completely didnot expect this. Although i have been visited by light beigns, i never imagined the council would come to visit me.
I am astounded.
i did have an experience a few weeks ago, where i was in an altered state and talking to a master. i could hear myself talking couldn't hear his voice but understood him.

The council of elders is something found by a lot of shamanics. They are basically a bunch of people who became timeless, and thus help people from all time......

| I've heard of the council, never got the chance to meet them in this universe though. Zygos, do they have any jurisdiction over time travel? I'm just curious because I actually met another timeless ephemeral being calling himself a timelord, but actually is a physical being from another planet, whose race has several thousand years of experience on us and actually are masters at the art of astral time travel I've been learning about over the past couple of months. So I'm just wondering if the Elders oversee the development of races' and individuals development of time and space travel. |

| this may be a little off topic because i'm not sure what it is... sometimes when i close my eyes i see many different things like cop cars, graveyards this place that i know is haunted called the lodge and other random things... anyone have a clue on what this could be? |

Jurisdiction is the wrong word. Time doesn't exist in some dimensions (Or as some call them other universes) so its more like they teach other beings to be timeless.

Yep, lords are an interesting concept. They are in a way a kind of heirarcy in the universe, specific beings that have jobs to watch over various different matters.
Most likely he was one of many timelords as there probably is at least 5 for each dimension if not a lot more. However just because your a lord doesn't make you better than a regular person, it just means you've been given a specific job in recognition of a talent you have in a particular area.
For example I am a graylord, one of a few on this planet. Mainly because the energetic 'gray' is an energetic that my life revolves around, and thus I am suited to keep a watch over the balance of energies that move towards the gray. The same was probably true for him, except he was recognized for his understanding, or ability to manipulate time.

So did you meet him over the astral? Or was he existing in a human body here while simultaneously existing in the other life as well. (This is common understanding as you get higher in energetics, that at all times you exist in multiple places)

There are probably hundreds of groups of elders. Its very possible that the one he was talking about did just that. The one I was reffering to, was the energeic attached to star's post, which is a group of elders that help others through the shamanic path to spirtual enlightenment. (People who had progressed to enlightenment in a lifetime, and then left a part of themselves behind to help others) The group who generally overwatch the development of races would be the council. (which to use a Sci fi example would be in like star trek with the federation of planets)....
