|
|
I'm a journalist for a pop culture news wire called Flash News, and I am looking for a ghost/psychic expert preferably one who might have some experience with the New Orleans area. The city of New Orleans is known for being a haunted city, and I am working on a story on wether the floods will increase the haunting or wash away old souls still lingering around.
If you have any information that you can contribute to my article, please e-mail me at gfogg@flashnews.com and if you can include your phone number so that I can call you for a quicker response I'd appreciate it.
Regards,
Greg Fogg |

I was actually wondering when something like this was going to be brought up.
Anyone have insights on this?
New Orleans has been the center of alot of paranormal/occult things going on. |

I have to say I find this thread not to my liking....
Hundreds of people have died in the most horrific circumstances in the aftermath of Kartrina, with little or no help and being left in the most dire of situations, except for the past 2-3 days...
...and you're talking about their ghost/psychic experience and whether "things " " wash away old souls"...... ?????????
Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick here but this seems disrespectful and downright offensive to those that have had to live through this and those that have lost whole families and loved ones.
Maybe we should concentrate our energies on the ones that have survived (and passed over) and those that are now displaced rather than what newspaper articals we can write about it!!. (urgh...sick!) |

It is obvious the originators of this post didn't mean any disrespect for the people who have passed on and we all agree it is a very horrific event.
However..we are all free to discuss the paranormal implications as it is widely known that new orleans was the center of alot of paranormal activities. Alot of people have travelled there and learnt alot of stuff,etc...
Rather than focus on the political issues around this we will all stick to the other various views about this very horrific event.
You got to understand that this is a mystical/metaphysical/new age/paranormal forum...so everyone is allowed to discuss such issues.
This thread shall continue.. Anyone with insights shall please share. |

| Lady are you stuck with 24 hour non stop coverage of the carnage. Probably not. As an American I am. It is all the news people seem to talk about here. There was a group of Brition trapped in the Superdome that had to be escorted out under ARMED GUARD. The only other news that may get a smattering of is the death of the supreme court judge and some airplane crash. |

Your site seems a little biased, but I'll give you that there is some truth to it. You take a city with a high crime rate, and low income, and you remove all the residents that won't commit crimes, I.e., most of those that stayed wanted to stay to loot. Looting turned into fighting over loot, which turned into killing. Women became loot; raping ensued. We've seriously got to get over the race thing, shooting at rescue workers because of the color of their skin. This is another reason why I've totally lost faith in the human race. There's more to come.
And yes, paranormal activity will increase. A lot. You know how brutal murders often cause imprints and entities? Yeah, multiply that by about 5000. I wouldn't go near the superdome for a while, or Louisiana until the whole place gets nuked. |

I'd like to think everyone here is right. Everyone is explaining what they see from their prespective, thier piece of reality.
this is what i see:
If NY is the heart of America, New Orleans was the spirit.
It is true that a lot of magick is practiced down there, there is a lot of spiritisim and a great deal of spiriutality, just like California for you non-American's. So truly spirituality has nothing to do with race.
Go visit California and right out in the open you will be able to talk to anyone about aliens, channelers, quantum physics and all kinds of alternative medicine. They are just open to it, in fact they are hungry for it.
The US for the main part is very religious and not interested in paranormal things, i think you guys might have it easier in other parts of the world? Maybe these things are more accepted.
over here --especially in Kansas, where i live, they make fun of psychics and the paranormal. They are slow to look at alternatives to the "accepted science".
Anyways i think it is terribly sad what is happening but i see it as an opportunity for those spiritual people to move into different parts of the country and help those who haven't got the whole picture yet. It will help others gain a bigger prespective, it will also help those who have lost everything to know that we are only visitors on this planet nothing really belongs to us, except our time and love. I am very sad for those who have lost loved ones, but i can see a great deal of good coming out of this, kind of like an opportunity for growth.
as far as the looting and the chaos, it should serve as a warning to the whole world. No one should feel above this, fear can make people do crazy things, look at the US--it was fear that led them to invade Iraq.
what happened there, could happen anywhere in the world, not just with poor black people. Look at what happened in London after the attacks when the police shot an innocent man, fear is the worst leader.
it should be understood that
anytime people feel abandoned from the society that has promised to protect them, they will do crazy things. That is why we have a society--to manage those who have not internalized or recognize the laws of the universe. Remember that most people don't commit crimes for the "fear" of getting caught, that is the biggest motivator for following the law.
well i hope i haven't made too many enemies.

| I wondered if it was fear of the people that lead them to iraq or the desires of the other underlying people who we have no clue about, who want to make money off of the war in iraq. Read the Tesla Topic in this section |

Hi
We in the UK do get a fair amount of coverage (I gett CNN here) and the news channels are pretty much have been non stop on this. I think we are all painfully aware of the circumstances of people that were left behind...
If anyone is interested in how the appauling state of response was this time round, should take a good careful look at Hurricane Andrew and what happened there with regard to "responses" then.... anyway that's not for this forum really.
I apprecaite that New Orleans is a very open society with regard to spirituality and paranormal beliefs. (I spent 5 day there in the early 1990's). Fabulous place!! The musical talent there was immense, just a buzzing place, so alive!! But, if by displacing the people there it does bring a greater awareness to US society of alternative ways, that is a good thing.
I probably did get the wrong end of the stick, and I apprecaite this is a paranormal forum, sorry if I caused any offense. I had just sat through a 1 hour BBC programme about the disaster so I maybe was abit raw!!
Bruce Mohen (I don't know if anyone is familiar with his work/vocation) helps lost souls that has passed over quickly and are bewildered not necessarily aware they have passed on and need to move on. My thoughts are with those that need help on the other side and hope they get to where they are going or need to be.
(Star - what a fab post - no enemies here ! )

sibby,
i am glad you enjoyed it. I am glad you posted. I am interested in bruce Mohen's work it sounds interesting. have you studied his techniques?
I had an astral projection last week where i remember being with group of light workers, we were helping a group of young people "stranded" on the coast, cross over. The devastation was everywhere.
I am getting visited on this plane, but have no idea how to help. I'm not trained in mediumship, I was just talking about this on another website. I am going to look up Bruce.
I am depressed over this, just like everyone else. I just have to put things in perspective and help anyway i can.
