EVPmaker is a program for the generation of acoustic "raw material" for recordings of paranormal voices on tape, also known as "Electronic Voice Phenomena" (EVP). For this, the software uses a method called random controlled phoneme synthesis. In the simplest case, it cuts up a WAV file and mixes up the fragments.

Ive used that before with some strange results. It actually gets scary sometimes because if feels like theres someone over your shoulders when you concentrating trying to hear whats being said. |

| What are the chances of the audio fragments creating something that sounds paranormal but really isn't? It kind of sounds like that experiment where subjects were able to hear proper words from framented audio. |

I don't get how random phoneme generation can be 'paranormal'. Unless it's like scrying.
Isn't it human nature to perceive patterns and meaning even when there is none?
If we perceive something we don't recognise then a psychologist would say that we're experiencing transference from the subconscious mind.
If we perceive scary things then there's something lurking in the dark basement of the mind.... (Mwa-ha-ha)
On the other hand, what if we're suprised to perceive angels and light beings?
Then maybe there's something beautiful overlooked in the attic of your dreams !
What type of sensation would indicate that we've re-tuned to a frequency where black and white is an irrelevant duality?

| I guess you could also check before hand if you can hear anything understandable being said. |
