I know that in order to feel how I want to feel, I must align myself with people I admire and respect... To me that means anybody with alot of swag. But it seems that it only comes at certain points and times, there are days I spend bored and locked in anxiety not doing what I'm supposed to do, and I'm sick and tired of relying on certain things to happen to feel aligned (for example, if one day I get some alcohol, and that was what I wanted, it puts me in the zone and I feel aligned, but then the next day it's gone and more alcohol will make me feel a bit better but never like the expierence of not having it for awhile and getting bored them drinking.) I'm not addicted, I can stop, but then I'll feel down and unable to align because I'll get nervous in situations where someone I admire and respect won't. i'm trying to forget about
material things but this anxiety won't let me do what I need to in
moments that I want to (talk to random beautiful females who walk by) unless I've been put in the zone already. I'm sick of using alcohol as a crutch to do that, I want to feel that surpreme confidence and being in the zone without having to rely on alcohol to open me up. How do I solve this? I could align myself for a bit but then I'll be in a situation where I should probably approach that female or just talk to people and I can't cause I'm choking and nervous. How do I align myself to always align myself, not make it temporary? |

Hello.
You are describe addiction.
You say that alchohol aligns you. i.e. It makes you feel good - but without it you are lost. Depending on something "outside" is attachment - and in a more specific case, here - a level of addiction.
I'm not trying to say you should STOP - however, you should take a break perhaps, and simply feel more confidence with who you are.
Try doing something else instead of drinking alchohol out of boredom. Then, by being more of yourself and relaxing a bit more, you'll notice that you'll simply start to attract others who have common interests. So you can share a drink (or 5) without actually being dependent on it.
Or maybe you'll realise that it's more that alchohol that you bring you together (& in alignment) with others. |

| I was drunk when I posted this topic, which explains all the unessacery worry and info and nonsense. The main thing is while I'm not addicted, I can't do what I want to do socially unless I'm drunk (or on Xanax or ecstasy basically anything that cures anxiety). Which causes my mood to drop usually when I'm sober, and I don't really drink that much or do many drugs, I just have taken a few and I drink once in awhile, I'm just sick of all of my best moments being drunk. |
