Not to sure what magical blends or affirmations you would use, but the follow herbs and vegetables promote concentration and aid in memory.

Herbs:
gingko
gota kola
rosemary

Vegetables:
collard greens
kale
parsley
carrot
cantaloupe
asparagus
spinach
red pepper

lavender is good for meditation; i can't see why it wouldn't be good for improving focus.
