I am a ceramic artist and I was making a new goddess for my altar. I had to fill her with paper to keep her full and upright during the drying process. Instead of the typical newspaper, I filled her with requests.

Having just gone through a devestating breakup, I asked the goddess and the fire to burn away my love for him. I also asked for peace of mind and clarity on what to do next with my life.

The piece went into the kiln on tuesday and Wednesday the Ex came by for some left behind items. Normally I would cry upon the sight of him and become desolate over the loss of the love of my life - but something strange happened. He appeared to me as a stranger, someone I had heard of but never met before, no pain, no sense of loss, only peace with myself and the situation. I didn't realize the connection until thursday when I returned to remove my piece from the kiln, it was then that I thanked the goddess for answering my prayers.

I am now creating another altar god, with some more specific requests. I will keep you updated.

I agree.

The fact that you were making the sculptures by hand put that much more of your own energy into it. That's one of the best ways, I've found, to bring the results you want. Any kind of art, really.

Tattel, what a wonderful feeling of closure that must have given you! I can just imagine how you felt. If you don't mind my asking, what was the outcome of the altar god that you made? I am just curious.

Tremendous story!

I am delighted by your story because I had a very similar experience.

I was out camping with at something called "camp-a-rama" which is for recovering alcoholics. I am not an alcoholi myself, but my brother is, and I sometimes go these events with him.

Anyway, I was sitting around the campfire with a bunch of people struggling with all kinds of addiction issues -- and the side issued they generate -- and I had an idea.

I said: Let's all select a log which represents our "problem." Then let's imagine we are transfering out problem into the log. Then let's put the log into the fire. When the log burns up, your problems will burn up with it."

So some of us did this, and the effect was amazing. We sat staring at our logs -- and there is something hypnotic about flickering fires, I think -- and most of us fell asleep watching our "problem logs" burning up.

When we awoke in the morning, most of us not only felt fantastic, but utterly spiritually free and clean!! I mean, the effect was amazing!! It was as if our "problem" had actually been consummed by the sacred fire.

I encourage all to try this. If nothing esle, it's extremely therapeutic, and something mystical may even be at work -- "fire spirits??""

Hi. And wow. Thank you for sharing that experience.

I am re-reading and also printing out some of the posts so that I can take them with me to the cafe! I read yours again because it is so inspiring. I was thinking today that the right words (or activity) are like a code or language that the universe translates into experience[s]. Like a computer program, too, that the right thing typed in leads to the execution of certain things taking place. Only there is not necessarily just one way to get to the desired result. During this part of my own journey I seem to be paying a lot of attention to the sounds of words or words strung together and the affect they have on my awareness. The notion of vibrations enters into it all again. Is really interesting. And causes my body to feel more connected to the Greater Field. That is quite an accomplishment since I have tended to have issue and frustrations with my body whenever I had attempted to get more "spiritual." This definitely feels more integrative.

I really like your method. It sounds as if the imprint or program stamp of your experience with your ex was literally extracted from your body and/or reality energetically. As if what you knew of him emotionally never happened. I remember that one of the books I read mentioned the light/energy or our reflected experience of the 3-D world can be brought back into us at will and into the place of pure potentiality. And from there, we reorganize or rather even re-order our existence. And then from that "frequency" we send the light back out onto the 3 dimensional mirror of life and the new version will be reflected back to us.

You definately did someting that could relate to Wicca magic, Kabblah, Occidental occultism, and many other traditions.

You burned the link, and it was gone, which can prove even more that the Love was also gone way before that, and only the emotional link needed to be mourned. You burned the ropes alltogether. That's an opinion.
